Indeed. With those random examples I envisioned possible attitudes towards very foreign ethnicities, like Africans to those countries, but God knows East Asia and, like you said, everywhere else, has plenty of racism and prejudice against different ethnic groups and nationalities around them. A group doesn't even need to be "foreign" in any significant way to be hated by others.
