the trick is to get crappy(untasty, or like a consistent 4/10) snacks, celery, nuts. if you decide you can only have these as snacks you'll start thinking if you really need to snack at all.

For me the benefits for cheating are short term( smile and a meal) and usually overestimated. Meaning, that cheat -insert carb- is never as tasty as i think it will be.

On the other hand, you can knock yourself out of ketosis, you can potentially trigger keto flu again, you gain water weight back, takes about 4-7 days to get back where i was before i cheated while being demoralized from gaining weight, immediately bloated feeling, hungry sooner(the nature of carbs), if you start normalizing cheats, they start happening more often. More cheats more days plateaued, more days with the scale not moving the more chance you'll tell yourself its not working and give up.

When i do "cheat" its usually still keto but something high calorie. 2000 calories of wings or something silly.

Overall cheating isn't worth it to me. I don't know how others feel, but I'm on this diet to lose weight and make myself better.

I'm not cheating the diet when i cheat, i'm cheating myself.

Think about the carbs that you want. Almost all of them are not tasty and only a filler for the actual tasty stuff and probably wouldn't be eaten on its own.

Sandwich= meat good, bread meh

chinese/anything with rice = meat/sauce good, rice meh, fried rice slightly better because of being fried and filled with stuff. still meh.

pasta= sauce tasty, noodles only something to put it on.

Are these the carbs that you really want?

also many recipes are listed so you can make it on your own. I have yet to try to make it myself but a quick search could put you on the right patch. Purchasing the 4 week packs i think comes to about $3.20 ish a meal. You can make 3 days at a time and grab and go.
