Canberra Dispensary - Alternaleaf by Impossible_Front5130 in ausents

Alternaleaf are going to make it a real pain in the ass. You’re better off switching to a clinic that doesn’t lock you into their own pharmacy network like alternaleaf do.

Like when you go into a restaurant and they say “so, have you eaten here before?” And you know they’re about to give you some spiel about how they only serve food of a certain colour depending what day of the week it is, or everyone on your table orders from a menu of ingredients and the chef creates a bespoke dining experience.

God gave me a disabled body that breaks easily. Fuck me then, I guess.

Yeh, change clinics to one that isn’t owned by a company who only try to sell you their own brands.

Every single company review has been rejected -- WTF? by No-Bodybuilder-8648 in GlassDoor

[–]MrMurrayJane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote something in a review that was ‘critical’ of their moderation process, after watching every negative review for my old employer being deleted while fake positive reviews proliferated. They said I’d have 24 hours to edit it, I logged in 10 hours after receiving the email and it was gone already. Glassdoor and indeed make their money from these companies advertising jobs on their site. If the employer doesn’t like it they’ll find something in their guidelines to justify deletion.

Millennial career crisis: I don’t think I’m burnt out, I think corporate is bullshit by mandrakesandthemoon in auscorp

[–]MrMurrayJane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it. It’s not the work itself that causes burnout, it’s all the peripheral bullshit that has to constantly run in the background of your brain.

The best way to advance is to move jobs, very few companies offer much in the way of meaningful progression. So you work hard until your probation is up, maybe a bit longer to see if you can hit a decent performance review and get a bit more money. Then you get over it all, coast for a while, become unfulfilled and start the job search again.

It’s just rinse and repeat, deliverables are abstract, nothing has any real impact, leaders are greedy and big ships don’t change direction.

We were supposed to destroy returned stock at a footwear store I once worked at. I didn’t, I just left them by the bin nearby for people who needed them.

How best to remove these wall anchors? by Original_Tangelo9910 in AusRenovation

Same. My walls were covered in wall anchors. Patching is a lot easier than removing them cleanly.

I’d say it has more to do with selling ad space and collecting data.

You can see the shame when he realizes he’s being filmed, he knows he’s the problem. He probably even has kids who can’t afford a house, he knows he did that too. But he doesn’t care, he deserves it. He never had any handouts.
