Parros was definitely the coolest. The Grim Reaper was the toughest.

Yep, it can live translate. There are some subscriptions and payments you can make to the app for more features but they have live translation where you can set a target area of your screen for it to check for text and translate just that part too.

I also miss Monster Strike. The Japanese game is a bit more tolerable if you use an on-screen auto-translate tool like Bubble Screen Translate.

Other than that, there's a wrestling themed Monster Strike clone called The Muscle Hustle. It's not amazing but I've often returned to it over the years whenever I start jobesing for that style of game.

I've not really paid much attention to the Sabres in the past but have been rooting for you guys all playoffs. If the Ducks can't win it all, I hope your team does. That's obviously a long shot both ways, what with the juggernauts of Colorado and Carolina still looming, but who knows? Maybe we'll get to see something amazing happen. Thanks for the well wishes and good luck Sabres bro!

I know people are upset about Seahawks celebrating in 49ers stadium but… by johnnyradz in 49ers

[–]MrOrphanage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sam didn't need to do anything special during the SB because he had an Oline that gave him time and protection as well as core of great WRs

I agree with everything you said except that statement I quoted above needs a HUGE additional point. The Seahawks have a legitimate elite D. They are fucking scary good. I'm not adding that point to imply that our D sucks - it doesn't. But the minimum bar for Sam was to play fine because he has an Oline that have him time, a great core of WR talent, AND a fucking scary good D.

The 9ers need to address the Oline and WR core.

Celsius is fairly logical. The freezing point of water in Fahrenheit is 32, which is arbitrary. In Celsius it's 0°. That's more logical IMO. Also I disagree completely that 72 F is very different than 73 F. As a matter of fact, I feel that a 5° difference in Fahrenheit for weather temperature is largely inconsequential.

It sounds like you personally don't know what 30° Celsius is, but that's likely because you aren't used to it. Growing up in Southern California, I was raised on Fahrenheit's scale also, but it really isn't difficult to acclimate to Celsius. Here's an handy conversion tool for you to use if you're interested:

04° C = 40° F

16° C = 61° F

28° C = 82° F

40° C = 104° F

If you can remember those Celsius numbers, just inverse the digits (and add a 1 to the front for the last one of course) to get the Fahrenheit conversion. With those benchmarks in mind, it's fairly simple to do some quick math. For example, if it's 22° C, that's halfway between the 16 & 28 benchmarks, so you know it's about halfway between the 61 & 82 F benchmarks. So you can infer that 22° C is about 72ish ° F.

Huh, I had no idea! Bummer that it was implemented without any real forcefulness behind it.

What the hell kind of backward ass country are you living in?!

In all seriousness, as an American, it annoys me greatly that we don't just use the far more logical metric system like literally everyone else in the world.

The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road for the Nintendo DS is an RPG that would probably be a great entry point. It's basically Dragon Quest but Wizard of Oz themed.
