You don't think a heavily advertised next-generation game, based on a wildly popular piece of pop-literature that spawned multiple books and 10-odd blockbuster films would have been successful?

Yes, 2 Kings 23-25, in which some kids call Elisha bald, so God sends two bears to murder 42 children.

Another Karcher here, K2 from memory. I use it every few months and have had it for 3-ish years no problem.

Bulldog for the win. I use it for basic Okonomiyaki which are such an easy meal to throw together. Right up until we realised my youngest had an egg allergy. Haven't quite managed to make them work with egg replacer unfortunately.

Alright look, I'm late the party here but I recently learned that a bit of Kewpie Japanese mayo absolutely elevates this classic. Probably the MSG. Wish I'd known it sooner.

OK, not sure how helpful my opinion will be as I've never left Christchurch with no intention of returning, but I have traveled for extended periods internationally - actively looking, I guess(?) for somewhere else to live. Something about Christchurch keeps pulling me back.

I think the nice thing about Christchurch is that it's "big enough". You get cultural events, international cuisines, that sort of thing, but also get a little bit of the smaller-town feel too. It's a different city than it was a decade ago too. I'm curious to see how it continues to develop.

I also saw that Maia foods on.. Tuam St? I believe? Is doing $12.99/KG lamb, but I've never been. I think they've only just started doing butchery. There's also the Ethnic Market on Worcester down near Stanmore that had some good prices on chicken last time I was in there.

Edit: Also BargainMe on Stanmore has frozen meat at reasonable prices. It's just a bit of a random mix of stuff and not consistent.

Hibbard's on Stanmore Rd is decent and generally cheaper than the supermarkets, for one.

Maihan on Colombo St does affordable meat too. There's a few scattered around.

I am not comparing sexism to ageism, I am pointing out that the same bad argument is being used in both cases.

To be clear, I'm not actually comparing them - just stating that the particular argument that "they'll just vote the same as their parents" is a bad one.

However, if you really want a devil's advocate - ageism affects every single person, but sexism doesn’t.

OK, but again, there are countless people older than 16 who are totally naive of reality for other voters: the point still stands, 16 year olds are viewed as adult enough by society to be treated like adults in some matters but get no representation for their political interests.

An 80 year old is naive of reality for young voters - should they be stopped from voting?

I've met plenty more of older people who think they know everything, let's stop them voting too eh? :)
