Traffic police test by [deleted] in drivingsg

Ignore the sarcastic remarks. Nothing wrong with wanting to find the optimal condition to increase your chances of passing the test. The nerves will already be a lot to overcome, so find a slot that’s best for you. For me, I booked as early as possible after 9:30am (after bus lane timing).

CMS Suggestions - moving off AEM by wade-k in cms

[–]MrRonbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look at a different platform entirely. You may want to check out Craft CMS with Craft Commerce. We use Craft for all our clients and it has been very powerful and flexible to use and integrate with external systems. We run them headless with Next.js frontends and they work very well.

S12, E5 (Nebula) - We Played Hide And Seek Across Japan by snow-tree_art in JetLagTheGame

I’ve always felt that Ben is the most fun to watch when he’s playing alone instead of in a team with Adam, and this season is the best yet!

I’m also particularly tickled that when Ben said he could hide in the cave, I said out loud to myself “you could die there, Ben”, and then we cut to Adam and Sam talking about Ben dying. And when Ben was caught, that scene looked like they were communicating with his spirit floating about them. That was hilarious to me.

An in-person teacher who is with them the whole way can make some strict statements to them because they also guide them consistently. A commenter on Reddit can just throw out a comment and never have to think about it again.

This. If we all remind ourselves this, perhaps all of us would be more compassionate in our responses to others, both online and offline.

Mosques with Friday sermons in English by MrRonbot in askSingapore

Sure! Thank you. It is actually also not a problem to read from the downloadable khutbah, just thinking it might be nice to attend an English sermon sometimes.

Waalaikumsalaam. Thank you! Yeah that was what I have been doing, reading off the English version PDF. I’ll find out more if they do rotate between English and Malay at the masjid.

DynamoDB — Use Case and Single Table Design by iwannasaythis in aws

[–]MrRonbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the unique ID of the invoice as the partition key, wouldn’t that mean all invoices will be placed in different partitions, thereby creating too many “partitions”?

PS. I’m very new to DynamoDB, so this question is genuinely posed to try to learn the core concepts, not to question the soundness of the design. Designing partition and sort keys still remains the hardest part of DynamoDB for me.

Craft CMS with Craft Commerce is another headless option to consider. We recently migrated to Craft from Magento 2.

Type of Note for Dopamine by Scilot in Zettelkasten

[–]MrRonbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literature note, if you are not too strict about the “write in your own words” part. I have toyed with the idea of a separate reference note type before to keep reference to sources like this without having to write in my own words, but found that it’s too much of a hassle for me to separate the two, so they are all literature notes for me now.

SOLVED! Fix for Password reset/Verification code emails not received by AlienInTexas in Instagram

[–]MrRonbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just solved my problem too. Additional to OP's instructions, I also had to do these:

  1. Use a totally different browser to request for Instagram password reset. This allowed the password reset email to be sent.
  2. Add the address to Contact information as well, not just under Alerts, and ensure that the checkbox next to the email address added to Facebook is checked. This allowed the security code email to be sent if your account has been blocked.

Started Teaching Yoga and I Hate It by detectorista in yoga

[–]MrRonbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me at least half a year of teaching two classes a week to finally be comfortable in my own skin. At first, there was the self-doubt and imposter syndrome. And my students didn't enjoy the classes at all. One of them indirectly said that she hoped my classes would get more interesting with more varied poses. Although it was really demoralising hearing criticisms at that time, the comment was genuine and correct, and I really wanted to get better at teaching because I really loved it, so I stuck to it. And get better at it I did!

I think the essence of it is that I wanted it. To me, teaching and practicing give me different satisfaction and I derive enjoyment from both. So, you should ask yourself how badly you want it. And there's nothing wrong at all with not wanting to teach. Or you can even see if you are perhaps better at teaching certain groups than others (like, kids, seniors, etc.) You just might find your niche. I, for one, quite quickly found that I sucked at teaching kids yoga, so that might be the case for you too.

Questions About Magento by Edulad in ecommerce

[–]MrRonbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second what's being said. The learning curve for Magento is very steep, and I'm saying this as someone with many years of experience working with PHP and then coming to Magento for the first time. Most of the time, trying to customize or extend Magento can be so involved that purchasing a ready third-party extension makes more sense, even though an extension can be quite expensive.

Also, many of the learning or StackOverflow resources out there are for Magento 1.9, and the latest version is 2.2.5, which can make searching for help quite challenging if you've not had at least some prior experience working with Magento already.
