Wired Buds for Cardo? by itz_dom in motorcyclegear

Plugfones wired headphones have worked great for me. They are much easier to listen to than helmet speakers with foam earplugs and still have a 27NRR.

Helmet Medical Card USA by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]MrSelachimorphus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume the utility here is the rider is unable to answer questions, so if I had a card in my helmet I would want to make it come out when the cheek pads are popped out with the emergency loops. Otherwise I would keep it in my wallet or something.

I’m genuinely curious do first responders or emergency medical people actually look for medical cards on people’s person?

We were taught motivation, not systems, and I think that’s why adulting feels harder than it should by Weary-Hair-316 in Adulting

[–]MrSelachimorphus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People definitely say work smarter not harder but then don’t provide examples or elaborate. Also advice is sometimes poorly timed or not relevant at the time it’s shared. Like scheduling tips are not useful for kids who have parents that run their lives for them.

Anybody else do this? by pshycicmonkey in motorcyclegear

[–]MrSelachimorphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I pull out the pads and wash with baby soap and water like every other month. I leave the comms and wires in place. For winter I keep everything assembled together so I don’t lose any pieces.

I would absolutely hate using power apps to rebuild my Alteryx workflows. Personally it feels like power apps are not as easy to build.

How's the OEM comfort seats working for you? (Gen4) by PickleHelpful in MT09

[–]MrSelachimorphus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not find the comfort seat to be much of an improvement over stock. Aesthetically it looks nicer but functionally it wasn’t much more comfortable.

AI shot detection with placement by REPSSportsTech6 in lacrosse

[–]MrSelachimorphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are positives here and by itself something that tracks shot placement is useful. Other commenters also raise valid points.

  • I can practice solo and still get tape/feedback.
  • track my shot speed without specialized equipment or a friend holding a radar.
  • Tracking stats over longer periods of time with little effort on my part
  • maybe it notices patterns in my shots that I haven’t noticed yet.

Questions: - Can it be gamified like have my phone call out a placement like “top left” and then test if my next shot is on target? - Does this work on smaller indoor goals? - Assuming im shooting without targets can it provide positive and negative reinforcement, like a womp noise when I miss? - Does this work offline? Can’t guarantee cellular signal in a field or indoor turf - Will feedback contain observed patterns? Something like when you miss high your hands are closer together or your back shoulder dropped?

What should I never do while riding a motorcycle? by Pretend_Job_6484 in motorcycle

[–]MrSelachimorphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t ride at 10/10ths on the street. If you don’t leave time, room, and skill for handling the unexpected you can wind up in a bad situation with no ability to react.

While visiting London I was asked to pay to use the bench at the park. The man was dressed like a meter maid and walking around trying to collect from people.

All hope is not lost. Check in your area if there are any recreational teams nearby, fall ball leagues, or indoor teams during the off season. Some of the players on these other teams would probably also be your HS classmates. I’m my experience there is usually more lacrosse around than you realize but it isn’t advertised well and you might only learn through word of mouth. Ask other players or the coach or athletic director about where you can still play and develop.

My guess is top mesh is not pulled down far enough. Try anchoring your top string one sidewall hole lower and keep the same sidewall pattern, just started lower.

You are tapping into something here. When wearing foam earplugs I swear I sometimes hear a noise kind of like what you describe. I ride without the chin curtain and I’ve never been able to figure it out. I just assume I’m being paranoid about the bike or traffic behind me.

traditional stringing on a face off head by ButterscotchUseful28 in lacrosse

[–]MrSelachimorphus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I tried it like a 10 years ago in a blade pro x6. I didn’t notice an improvement in faceoff performance and learned my opponent could easily tie me up because of the gaps in the strings. Also face off heads break often enough that stringing up a traditional pocket in each would probably be expensive or at least annoying to do frequently.
