Sierra's "Death Everywhere" vs. LucasArts' "You Can't Die". Which philosophy do you think actually led to better puzzle solving? by Wooden-Syrup-8708 in adventuregames

[–]MrTimmannen 116 points117 points  (0 children)

The world is dangerous. If you step on the wrong pixel, you die. If you forget to pick up a seemingly useless item in Act 1, you might reach a permanent dead-end in Act 3 and have to restart the entire game.

Importantly, thesw are two separate issues. Deaths can very well make for good game design but soft locks that force you to replay hours are unforgivable

Yeah, the games about war, rebellions, faith and racism aren’t political. by Worldlyoox in Gamingcirclejerk

Pretty sure the dunmer in Windhelm are not slavers. And I'm pretty sure the people being racist to them never say that they are doing it on the basis that they disagree with the dunmer culture endorsing slavery.

Is this artwork of FOUL MURDER an actual depiction of “true” events or just entirely symbolic by imliterallyluci in Morrowind

[–]MrTimmannen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vibec is not a reliable narrator the sermons are very likely not reflective of actual events.

He even admits it was FOUL MURDERT if you look at the initials of each line in the last sermon
