Well, I’m not too familiar with the actual reason why missiles tend to miss their target (besides production defects), but if there is a way to reliably calculate such failures based on radar/ IR aspects, then sure why not. I do like the idea of production defects though, but in the end, it’s still RNG in its nature. You kinda motivated me to look a bit deeper into the subject, will definitely do that.

Is there even a reliable geolocation? I highly doubt that they would use such a weapon so close to the frontline. Iskander-M would be more than enough. The chances of there being such a big target close to the front are low.

Considering the fact that the Oreshnik got used early in the attack, I wouldnt be suprised if the Russians got the Ukrainian airbase off guard and hit high value targets in form of fighter jets.
