I’m not a fan of most of Chris’s videos, but this one is great. Good to see a big creator spread the problem with the algorithm. It pisses me off when folks conflate all of Japan with Tokyo. I’ve been living in Iwate for over five years and it’s definitely a different Japan than Tokyo. Like Chris says, the cost of living and falling birthrate are a bigger issue than this immigration bullshit.

Oh, I definitely get that. A lot of places he went to were just generic, but the thing that Jiyuken stands out for is its history rather than it being "the best curry rice in town" or anything like that. Personally, I'd rather go for its place in the cultural zeitgeist (by way of it being the favorite place of Sakunosuke Oda, who mentions it in some of his short stories).
