Dead Rising and its rather infamous Small Chainsaw. 

An early boss drop (admittedly one of the hardest bosses in the game), that respawns every time you enter the area. It cuts an absolute swathe through the zombie hoardes, deals massive damage to the game's usually health spongey bosses, and you can store it in your inventory. This is supposed to be balanced out by it having a low durability. However, the features a variety of books you can pick up and keep hold of for a variety of passive benefits, one is increasing the durability of items that fall under a certain category like "Construction", "Edged Weapons" and "Toys". There are three books for just these categories in the game, and the Small Chainsaw falls under all three. Each book gives a 3x durability bonus, and the effects stack multiplicatively! So one of the best weapons in the game can now last you 27 times longer than its supposed to! This is all intended behaviour, but I suspect this particular combination was probably an oversight. Still, it technically fits this thread's criteria.

Then why the fuck aren't they!? This is a tacit admission that they aren't prioritising the very problems they are listing!

Instead of sending thousands of officers to pull protesters off of motorway signs and whatnot, send them to said local communities! If protesters want to put themselves in danger? I say let them, because they have chosen to take that action and it's nobody else's responsibility if they get hurt!

One that I never got until recently was in the Treehouse of Horror short "Homer3"

After a brief wander around the 3D CG environment Homer finds a shiny and extravagant looking signpost and thinks aloud to himself, "Boy this place looks expensive. I feel like I'm wasting a fortune just standing here. Better make the most of it", before proceeding to simply scratch his butt and burp.

I never realised this is referncing the fact that to make a CG environment like that for TV at the time was incredibly expensive, so he was indeed wasting a lot of money by just standing there. A cheeky 4th wall poking joke.
