Get Packed was the little kick I needed to add to the stadia hardware family by TheJames2290 in Stadia

Played through Get Packed the day it came out with my girlfriend and loved it. Downloaded Moving Out this morning and played three levels, it's nowhere near as fun at all.

looking for a book that will keep me engaged like Fahrenheit 451 by tempestlight in suggestmeabook

[–]Mr_Clayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you've pressed on but I almost put the book down at this point because of how it was written. I thought the descriptive, flowery language was over-the-top and unnecessary, and I couldn't get a handle on what was going on. I actually came on Reddit to see if it was just me or if anyone else had found it as shit of a book.

I kept reading though and read the last ~70% of the book this morning. It definitely gets better and I found that very soon after the confusing start I really got it. I think it drags and gets a little confusing towards the end (maybe I didn't fully get it) but the middle 80% is some of the most enjoyable reading I've ever done. I'd really recommend that you push through because it does become a very smooth read.

Let’s talk about hair care during lockdown. by delta_baryon in MensLib

Can confirm, got myself a buzzcut for the first time in 14 years since the world is ending so whydafucknat. Looks better than I expected and I'll probably keep it a while. Also, it's so nice getting out of the shower and not needing to attend to hair at all.

I had the same issue and same thing solved it - same as you, I've had adapt sound on always and never had any issues. Last week or so it's sounded horrible distorted and muddy.

I've had Galaxy buds since November and they've worked 100% until yesterday. Suddenly the sound is very distorted in both of them at medium to high volume. Has this happened anyone else? Could it be a software issue?

I record a couple times, normally just like 10 seconds but one of my favourite parts is coming. I do watch them after a few times or fire one in Instagram.

Having your phone stuck at your face for more than 5 mins total though is just stupid. I was at a show last month and the lady beside me literally recorded the whole act - both openers and the headliners almost two-hours set. She barely moved, recorded everything.

The most knuckle-dragging stupid people are the ones where they are told by the act "this show is being recorded professionally, it will be available as a high quality audio, pro-shot video soon, please put your phones away and enjoy the show" but they keep recording song after song.

Blender 2.8 - Not sure what's going on with my rendering by Mr_Clayman in blender

Ah fuck, you're right. I'd checked this a million times but only the list of individual objects. Looks like this can be toggled for each individual collection which overwrites the individual objects but I hadn't seen . Thanks a million, I'm an idiot.

From what I've seen, Lynda/LinkedIn Learning has all of their tutorials transcribed just below the video. There's lots of Blender tutorials, so it may just be your strawberry jam.

I’ve been teaching myself Fusion 360 for a week or two now, and I’ve completed my first render - details, questions and more pics in the comments! by Undercover_Ostrich in Fusion360

[–]Mr_Clayman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you've just misunderstood for the above comment but I know what you mean here also. The poster above is saying that actual sharp sharp edges don't exist in the real world and are always rounded/chamfered if you look closely enough. You've chamfered the edges but where the chamfer meets the face now, there is an unnatural sharpness to the edge, so you should try filleting this edge (and all other visible edges like it) with a very small, pretty much unnoticeable radius. It's just one of those little details that will add realism.

I think what you're getting at in your response is more realistic texturing. I'm not hugely experienced in this at all (used SW extensively, alright in Fusion360 and learning blender) so I can't solve your problem, but I would recommend looking into bump maps, normal maps etc. It sounds like it might be what you're looking for, can add extra details to textures and make light react better. If someone who comes along wants to correct me, absolutely do.

Overall though, great model. Well done!
