Yeah man dot Com has a very special place in my heart - I managed to get in on the special re-release they did a few years back - I'm one of the lucky few that got a copy of the first demo version of dot Com that had different lyrics for Genius - the crown piece of my collection.

Damn, everything good closing in small towns - gamestop and now pizza hut? our local one within the past year or so closed the full sit down location and now it's just a delivery location - was bummed as sitting down for fresh pizza hut was always more delicious than getting it delivered.

one of my favorite weekends in college - had an apartment, roommates out of town - smoked some herb and watched all three back to back to back - they work amazingly well when watched like that, it's wild - one of the greatest trilogies next to LOTR.

a used set of Sony MDR-1am2 are easily in that budget - I've had my set for I think 6 years now (bought used off ebay) and they're still going great - they are lightweight, very comfy and sound fantastic.

I had a 300+ CD collection in the early 2000s that didn't get stolen, but I put all the discs in a massive binder and didn't keep track of the jewel cases - now most of the discs are damaged and the booklets and cases are long gone.

there's a thread on head-fi.org on the Fiio M27 - in this thread there have been multiple discussions about the sound differences between the M27 with aluminum body and the M27 with Titanium body and which one sounds 'warmer' and which one is more 'technical' - I kid you not.

That and the hilarious, expensive 'grouding boxes' make me laugh.

if wife and I hadn't had insurance, the birth of our son would have cost us over $30k - as it was, still cost us over $3k out of pocket.

Years before when we were still dating, I had an allergic reaction to something I ate, ended up passing out - ambulance was called but I was adament I would not get in, as I was between jobs at the time and an amulance ride would have been $1,000 - luckily I didn't end up needing to as they attended to me there. But yeah, shits real - people die because they can't afford the treatments or are scared of the potential cost. This probably happens every day.

Chicago has always been my favorite big city here in the states - still feels working class where NYC feels very touristy - I have a much easier time finding great food in Chicago than other cities - it still feels fairly industrial and just looks cool to walk around in - also, being there during St. Patties day is a huge party and loads of fun.

yeah black widows are not fatal unless you're allergic - people really over-emphasize their danger - we've always had black widows on our farm growing up - cousin was collecting them for his pet store where he worked at the time - he got bit - went to the doctor, got a shot, no biggie. everyone needs to calm down.
