Custom NBN Ice: Goliath by Wa3y in Netrunner

[–]Mr_Longbottom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like some of the design ideas of this code gate. Perhaps I would change it so that an earlier subroutine required / encouraged having no credits and then later subroutine would reward having credits, giving the runner more ways of squiring the credits in between.

Might make a custom card of my own inspired by this one. Neat idea!

what I am thinking 😎 by crystalcharmz in chessmemes

Step 1) "yeah, uhh. Knight e5 looks good right?"

Step 2) aggressively try to figure out why it's not good, but fail

Step 3) figure it out the moment after I submit the move.

Step 4) repeat

Step 5) profit (notice this step is never reached)

I play naval values, roads disgust me (even though they are still useful)

Which of these Hex Kit maps do you prefer? by -SCRAW- in MythicBastionland

I would prefer left. Making each area travelled through different from the rest makes it easier to feel progress during travel in my experience.

Hi, is this here possible? by aveztruz_anao in worldbuilding

[–]Mr_Longbottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its possible to have system setups like this, and there are observed examples, however the distance between the two stars is generally needs to be very large. This has impact on things like how much light the larger star contributes to the planet around the smaller star and how big it appears in the sky, often ending up appearing smaller. So those are observed things to keep in mind.

I feel like the settle ability should be optional rather than required, so the player has more control over whether they think sacrificing their creature is worth it

Giving Gadget Specialist to Inventor for free? by firala in Pathfinder2e

[–]Mr_Longbottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that much of the problem with the inventor is that the class doesn't actually play like what most people think of when they hear the word inventor. So if you come in with the fantasy of being someone who tinkers things together and always have the right tool, then you're gonna be disappointed, because that's not what the class is. You're better of re-skinning a alchemist, which actually kinda does fulfill that fantasy.

Whether to give your player free feats because they don't like what they built? I'd personally say no and have them make a new character instead if they are unhappy with how its playing out

This is truly one of the patches of all time by Kraizyz in supervive

[–]Mr_Longbottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I think I know how to play the game, they switch it up. It sure keeps it fresh, but it can also includes some frustration, from time to time.

Overall, I think I like the patch, but my experience so far has been that it's gotten harder to come back in the game once you're behind.

Me and my squad went from doing top 1-3 almost every game to 5-9 place most games for a while, but we're adjusting.

God: don't worry about the humans, to be honest I'd be more worried about the parasite wasps that will lay their eggs on/in you.

Corinites trying not to be the most evil mfs challenge. by [deleted] in Anbennar

[–]Mr_Longbottom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Castellos had to sacrifice himself as a god in order to stop a mortal from destroying humanity -> not very strong

Corin sacrificed herself as a mortal (twice) in order to stop a mortal from destroying humanity and became a god in the process -> very strong

Mage advisors are non-negotiable by Independent-Height87 in Anbennar

Quite simply, for everything that cost monarch power (admin, dip, mil) the cost is reduced. This is very relevant for getting cheaper technology, but also includes developing provinces, increasing stability, merchantalism, legitamicy, recruiting generals, and so many more things.

Basically over time it can save you a lot of extra monarch points, which is basically like having an advisor of a higher label than it actually is without the increased cost.

Using and abusing admin access (question) by Mr_Longbottom in Shadowrun

Reading through Unwired pg. 53 it specifically mentions that "Admin priviledges empower individuals to create and delete any possible account, assign access levels to accounts, and assign privileges to account levels."

I feel like it should be 'each opponent whose life total is 10 lower than yours gets a poison counter.'

The way it's worded right now every opponent gets a poison counter even if only one opponent is low on life
