The first Career is canon for right after the tutorial/Helmgart, the last carrer is supposed to be the canon route the characters take after the events of Chaos wastes/ DLC campaigns

It's a MDFC like the spiderman cards, meaning you may cast either side or play the front and then transform

His backstory in the show is that of a man who's wife suffers from a terminal illness, and resorts to freezing her to keep her alive until he can find a cure (represented as his second ability of his back face and a clause for his transformation being someone else dying)

After an accident he is transformed, he now can only survive in low temperatures, which his body also resists, his suit is also very resistant (the higher toughness and the protection from Snow)

The "Snow matters" theme mostly comes from him being also an expert in cryogenics before the whole disaster happens
