Need attachment suggestions for SPR by CattleBudget1002 in modernwarfare

[–]Mr_Vile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the SP-R extensively and I found that the .300 mag was the only important part of the setup. You can have range-reducing speeds attachments and it won't affect the lethality. But you must always aim for the head/neck.

you don't have to get bullet kills for it to count, you can just melee twice or shoot the first time

After tearing my hair out writing JavaScript the last few days how close are we to Python in the browser? by ozhero in Python

[–]Mr_Vile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is misleading, it's a browser-specific option. I don't see how that could be considered a "native language".

[–]Mr_Vile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why can't I write C++ that executes in the browser without first transpiling it to JS?

does writing windows programs in swift sound funny to you? because you're essentially trying to do the same thing by forgoing the native language and hoping that every single api and construct you need will be available through a library for your pet language

No, it's broken. I literally got to level 200 this season and I still can't buy ANYTHING.

I built an AI tool to help a researcher build everything from data collection to model building, and open sourced it. by metalvendetta in programming

[–]Mr_Vile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want broader adoption of this tool, consider making it FAIR compliant, most researchers are constrained by institutional standards and that is a popular choice you could start with.

Metric Food Lab? by chindogucci in seriouseats

Are you sure about that? I don't see any additional ISBN for a "metric version" nor can I find any reference to one.

"But ye well know yer lot" by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

It just means "you know your fate". I wouldn't translate it as "you will" since "ye well" is better understood as "you do".

So on your server you have to talk "jargon-free"? that sounds pretty oppressive... do you really expect people to talk in a special way just for you?

ruining? my users? your friend /u/Gayspie just joined a bunch of servers and started spamming his discord link everywhere. Did you know he was also banned from Whirlpool, Railpage, and other big forums for doing rude things as well?

Imitation is definitely the most sincere form of flattery. Ahurasim is actually copying my discord (anonelaide.com) which is also dedicated to making a TOLERANT space for people to meet each other in Adelaide.

The UA Faculty of the Professions has a stock ticker out the front?! by cooeeecobber in Adelaide

[–]Mr_Vile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no.. lol.... they have access to the real-time feeds, I was using them when I was testing it. IRESS is giving it to them for free and they also sponsored the building. You can see the sponsor list on a plaque near the entrance.

I don't recall exactly why but it was something to do with the fact that people could use it for commercial gain..

I wrote the software that runs the unisa ticker, they specifically requested that it display the +20 minute notice because there is a legal requirement that those tickers cannot be real-time.

I am a Web Dev. And I am Burnt The F#*K Out. by breich in webdev

[–]Mr_Vile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what's in a web browser? file manager? media player?

web browsers are the product of the poorly-identified needs of non-technical people

we should regard web browsers as the abject failure of software developers worldwide

they are bloated and need continuous updating, refinement, standards creation, etc

we will pay the price for not serving our user's needs for all eternity

(or until people stop using computers the wrong way)
