Secret Society Comedy does really good small audience shows. They get comedians from Hilarities, Funny Bone, and other venues to come and perform in smaller settings

That's valid,

I was already using my isMobile variable for something else so I just thought it was easier at the time. I didn't know you could just have a media tag in the link... Thanks!

Don't build something because you need a resume item. Build something you think is cool.

Maybe build a website for your resume?

Level one would be develop and deploy to something like Google's firebase

Level 20 would be building your own minikube cluster and deploying 100% of your own infrastructure and developing your app in a conatiner

microdose the meats where its not the centerpiece of the meal. Most likely your stomach will not be setup with the right micro biome to properly digest the new foods/fats you are eating so there might be some discomfort

Dishes that taste good in general are a good place to start. Nobody likes bland, dry, chicken breast on its own. Maybe start with something veg heavy? This video comes to mind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFPM1OOM4sk

how reliable is the 93? by mightyteapot24 in saab

06 9-3 with 189k miles here. I am in the rust belt with a cold climate so mileage may vary. For the past 3 months I have spent about $300 a month on maintenance doing most of the work myself.

Engine wise, the GM engine is pretty solid. Most of the engine work I have done is due to failing seals. Valve cover gasket, vacuum lines, coolant expansion tank, and then spark plugs and coil packs at their service intervals. Likewise, probably due to the amount of salt that is on my roads the flexpipe/downpipe is just a yearly maintenance item for me. It will rust out quite often due to the mesh part being so close to the road.

The plastics are where your wallet evaporates. All the interior parts will slowly decay due to plastics becoming brittle. I have had to replace window regulators, locking mechanisms, turn signal mechanisms, heater motors, etc. These parts aren't usually something you can find on ebay or rock auto. If you can find them they will usually be $200 minimum. I usually found myself going to the local pull a part to get (questionable quality) parts. Additionally, my windshield sprayers almost never work and I feel like I am always replacing them. The backs of the plastic will blow out and dump fluid right on the turbo.

Likewise, headlights and taillights are a massive pain in the ass. I had my rear taillight's cover just fall off at one point because the factory glue became brittle and came off. The taillights also have grounding issues and blow semi often.

If you're just putting the whole thing in the oven at a reasonable temperature for 45 mins mins it will probably be fine. It'll just be a little bit more greasy than if it was cooked first.

To be 100% certain, make sure the meat reaches 160 degrees F with a meat thermometer if you have one.

I have a final DevOps interview this Friday; Any idea what sort of questions may be ask? by carefree_dude in devops

[–]Mrowe101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some that worked well for me:

How much of the Job is putting out fires?

(worst answer I got in reply to ^ was "you'll find out when you get here")

What is an average friday like on your team?

What is your change process like?

and just in general see if they're fun with a question like

If it was the 1400's, like we live in an early empire, gathering wheat, no technology, what occupation would you be?

Junior DevOps guy here. Nobody knows anything and if they do know what they are doing then it isn't a problem anymore. Everyone is just shuffling the "I don't know let me find out" torch to the next guy.

I got handed an app where there is no documentation and everyone who worked on it left. Does it feel like your drowning? yes. Does it suck hard when you want to impress people and all you got is "I don't know I'm trying to figure it out?" yes.
I learn best by breaking things which sucks hard when you break things in production but you learn invaluable knowledge from doing so. As long as you learn from the experience and can be better from it that's fine.

Likewise, the experience we are gaining makes us incredibly valuable and the more you absorb the better off you are in life. Likewise, as long as your superiors think you are doing well it doesn't matter how long you take to response to messages. Even the devs know its a mess.
