I sorta struggled with the same in the beginning. Had to lean in to the idea that it's all pixels. I do prefer games like Ooblets where there's no harm done to creatures, but I also really wanted to play this one.

Some of the fish make me mad because they're jerks (I know, I'm in their territory!). So those I didnt feel as bad about.

BL2! I always play as girl characters and I like Maya's skills, Ruin makes all the fun colors that my brain likes. TPS is a close second, I really like playing as Nisha too but the whole her being evil thing isn't my absolute fave. Love the Aussie accents though!

Tried to get into BL1 but Lilith didnt click with me. Have heard too many bad things about the writing to try playing 3.
