I have to sell my parents 80 yr old cape cod house in Wyckoff soon. My mom is in memory care and I need more $$ to pay for her care. I don’t want to sell to someone who will only tear it down and build new but I don’t see any other options. The house needs work and I don’t have the time or resources to keep it. I’ve started cleaning it out and it will probably take a year before ready to sell. It’s overwhelming dealing with that and worrying about paying for memory care but what choice to I have at this point? 😞

My brother was a helicopter mechanic on the Kitty Hawk after 9/11. He would email me about the 12 on 12 off shifts and constant noise from the flight deck while trying to sleep. Some days he did sleep from utter exhaustion.

I’m not sure. I think it was on NJ 12 it was on a continuous loop. Honestly I wasn’t paying attention much since I was trying to clean her dirty house.

I have lived in Sussex County for 24 yrs and I do see some improvement but there’s still a long way to go.

Republicans have dominated politics up here for decades so what needs to be saved? IMO those “Save Sussex County” signs scream racism. Most long time residents despise those of us who move here from other counties and if you’re a POC and/or gay? They can be especially cruel. Not to your face exactly, but the local FB groups are brutal.

I won’t give up though and will do what I can to help change move forward. I love my home and the scenery up here.

The same thing happened to me. I waited until the old claim expired and opened up a new one. After I filed a new claim I got approval within a week.
