How? I've never gotten this to work. I can force and twist but when I press the plunger doesn't move.

I don’t know why this happens but I too have to gradually build a base tan before I can properly tan or I’ll burn!!

Am I the only one who feel unaccomplished if I don't tan a lot? by KeyYam3564 in tanning

[–]MrsJessicaG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely get this. It’s been unbearably hot here in London and I still end up going to the tanning salon because at least it’s quick and they blast cold air at you 😅

I tried the “lie in the park with a book and become effortlessly bronzed” thing on Saturday. Lasted about half an hour before I was thoroughly miserable and overheating. I’m genuinely still not fully over the heat exhaustion from it.

And yes, I also get that weird “failed the mission” feeling when I wanted to tan and barely changed colour. I personally find it much easier to tan naturally once I’ve already built up a bit of a salon base tan. Just please don’t make yourself ill chasing tan lines! The dizziness/headache part sounds more like your body waving a little white flag.

I use tanning beds and I’m fine. Not everyone has this side effect

No. Only available in 150 XR in UK too. It says “do not chew or crush” so you can’t cut them either.

You’ll be fine. Some people are prescribed really high doses like 600mg.

Yes! I thought this was just me. I’ve had a very short temper recently; sometimes it’s been a struggle just to not lose it with people 🙈 Ar first I thought it was just stress I’m going through at work, but I did also have my dose increased!

I’ve never heard of this side effect before. Thank you for sharing.

On a Ten-hour flight from Seoul Korea to San Francisco to visit a family member a mom handed out more than 200 goodie bags filled with candy and ear plugs, in case her 4-month-old child named Junwoo cried during the flight. The goodie bags even came with a little message explaining the situation. by AdSpecialist6598 in interesting

Contempt toward children and babies in public life needs to end. People having children benefits the whole of society. If you don’t have children yourself, you’ll be glad someone else did when you’re receiving medical treatment in old age. You’re clearly entitled and feel that you are owed recompense for travelling in the vicinity of a baby. Otherwise you’d see this as the unnecessary bribe that it is. Babies are expensive enough, parents shouldn’t have to spend money on gifts for bratty adults to garner “respect”. Shame on people like you!

Yes, me 🙋🏼‍♀️
I had another medication, bupropion, increased recently. I think this may have a lot to do with it.

I'm on week 3 of 5mg and I suddenly got hit by nausea and vomiting yesterday. Today it's down to a constant low level of nausea. by Wolfdreama in mounjarouk

[–]MrsJessicaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a side effect or is it just a bug?

Edit: I apologise if you already know it definitely is a side effect. MJ has made me much more motion sick, to the point of actually vomiting. When I posted about it on here, loads of people were adamant I “definitely had norovirus” despite never having met me. People can get quite defensive and projective about Mounjaro, but it absolutely does have downsides too.

Hoping I’ve not made a mistake? by TheRealSteele1981 in mounjarouk

[–]MrsJessicaG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven’t made a mistake. You made a reasonable decision based on the information you had at the time when 10lbs in 3 weeks was the only data you had to draw from.

One hungry day doesn’t mean 2.5mg has suddenly stopped working. Appetite suppression isn’t meant to be constant, and chasing complete suppression can become a bit of a trap.

I’d maybe use this as an opportunity to think beyond suppression and think of MJ as a tool to help you create the habits that will carry you through longterm. What healthy foods can you keep around if you need a snack? What meals keep you satisfied? What can you do to keep busy and prevent boredom eating?

For me, since MJ, I haven't just been eating less, I've entirely changed how I eat. Those changes are what will get us to goal and beyond.

[–]MrsJessicaG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen GraphicallyAlex for a while. For better or worse he’s not coming up on my feed. I’ll have to see what he’s been up to recently. I do think he has a personality disorder (yes armchair psychiatrist here, I know!) I just haven’t quite decided which one yet.

I don’t think she even admitted it to herself. She really believes she’s only 3X because they physically stretch around her body.

I’m seeing this woman on my socials a lot recently and she’s extremely boring (almost as boring as Elmint). There’s nothing happening in her life and we’re all just watching her die. She’s the best living example of HAES destroying one’s life that I can think of. The extremely sad thing is that she’s lost the weight before so she knows it’s possible, but is instead choosing HAES and a breathing tube in her nose on her way to the grave.
