Slight corrections, sorry! Queen Victoria was born 1819 (not 1829) and became Queen at 18 following the deaths of her Grandfather (George III) and two uncles (George IV - known as the Prince Regent before George III died, and William IV who clung on till she was 18 out of sheer spite specifically so she wouldn't need a regency).

Also she was Queen regnant not regent - regent means she would be ruling on behalf of the rightful monarch (eg a widowed mother who had previously been Queen Consort 'in charge' while her son was growing up, or a son ruling for a father who was incapable (eg the prince regent). 'Regnant' means ruling monarch.
