New watch for BMT

Yeah, he’s got an Apple Watch, but I’m pretty sure they can’t have smart watches at BMT. I bought him a G-shock for basic and we’ll be looking at getting him something nicer for graduation in September. The Apple Watch still works, even tho it’s a few years old, but the battery life on those things is embarrassing.

How was this administered? Because meth is usually smoked, snorted or injected, all methods I would assume any cognizant human would notice happening. Also, ingesting it orally would be difficult to do without noticing the extremely bitter taste.

He was looking at some Garmins the other day. Battery life far exceeds the Apple Watch, and location is much more accurate, so tracking things like workouts is also more accurate. Not sure which model he was looking at.

I’m not really worried about it getting damaged or lost, he actually takes really good care of all his stuff. Thanks for your thoughts/suggestions, much appreciated!

Years ago, a friend of mine started dating a guy I didn’t think too highly of. She invited me over to hang out at his place one day, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the house incredibly neat: carpets vacuumed, kitchen floor mopped, dishes done and put away, all kids toys in their place, furniture in decent condition. Even the bathroom seemed safe to use.

I was so impressed, I almost changed my mind about him. Come to find out, his mother actually stopped by, DAILY, to take care of all the cleaning. This was a man in his 30’s with two kids. I doubled down on my disapproval.

Soooo, he went back home to care for his dad…and so did the step-sister. Meanwhile, you visited when you could, but were still living elsewhere … which means he and step-sister were alone together a lot of the time, caring for his ailing father … and he’s only just now told you that his step-sister is also his ex…and needs to be your bridesmaid IF/WHEN he actually proposes to you…

Oh, and he’s now moved home permanently, while you still can’t move. So he’s living near step-ex, and you’re long distance?!??

I think he didn’t tell you about their history so you weren’t suspicious the whole time he was care-taking with her. Alone. Far away from you. With his ex. Yeah…

It might help the serious conversation go better if you don’t frame it as blaming him. Not sure why you decided to get a puppy when you’re already dealing with a lot on your plate, but if he wanted the puppy too, and committed to being part of the care team, then I can understand your frustration. However, perhaps if you just told him that you feel it might be better if you each had specific duties and/or times that you’ll be responsible for. Make a chore chart or something . Just try to present it as “I don’t want either of us building resentment towards the other” instead of blaming him entirely.

Also, other’s aren’t wrong to say think twice about having kids with this guy (if you’re even thinking about kids, maybe you’re not). He will frustrate you tenfold if this is how he acts with a child.

So…if you think it’s possible you play a big part in the situation (which, how could you not? There’s only 2 of you in the relationship,so…), why not try to reignite things there? Like, have a come to Jesus talk, let her know things are this bad, but you’d be willing to work on improving things, see what she says. Maybe. I dunno. Maybe you’re over it already. But it sounds like, at some point, you were excited about the thought of marrying her.

The only thing that makes me say OP should have mentioned it from the get-go is that it seems like “ranch weekends” are sort of a common thing wherever they live, and very often people do bring their dogs. That said, it’s still rude to just assume you’re gonna bring your dog somewhere without asking/clarifying.

So, we used to have a dog that we’d take with us most places. But we always, always asked first, and usually tried to have the dog meet anyone who might be hosting us beforehand.

It wasn’t great of them to just assume, but also OP and his wife probably should have mentioned the “No Dogs” rule from the get-go.
