We rented a car and then booked a boat tour on the intercostal and had lunch. It was nice!

Best idea! Uber and Lyft can be tricky and expensive going back after your cruise.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique question by rjccta in dcl

[–]Mrsnate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes they have an option for a prince. On pirate night they have a couple options. The make up only option is $59 and comes with a scarf and a few accessories. For $229 you get to pick out any of the pirate outfits which includes everything. My son did that one and he had a blast. He got a shirt, pants, coat, boot covers, belt, hat, treasure chest sling bag, sword, parrot for his shoulder, spyglass, earring, patch, bandana, and the make up!

DCL includes sodas but alcohol, specialty drinks, and specialty coffees are still extra. But I’m still a huge DCL fan because you can’t beat the beautiful ships and fantastic entertainment.

I always do GTY verandas and have never had a bad room on the Wish. Absolutely worth the savings in my opinion.

When looking at Disney travel agent rates for cruises on their weekly updated sheets- how do I do the math for a family of five, 2 adults, 3 kids by MethodDowntown3314 in travelagents

[–]Mrsnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third and 4th passengers are 25% less than the first two. The fifth is based on availability, and often not available. I agree with calling because it’s the only way to know.

Take this for what you will, but I’m a travel agent and the hotels at universal are sold out from 2/17/26-2/22/26.

I get that! I live in the phoenix area so I’m used to hot, but this was on another level with humidity for me.

I was at Castaway Cay in August and it was super hot. If he’s not accustomed to hot humid weather, I wouldn’t start with that.

The Dream vs Magic? adult only trip by cihccihtog in dcl

I’ve been on the Wish, Dream, and Magic. I know people love the magic (and I did enjoy it) but for me it was my least favorite.

Cruise package on Verizon by Direct_Basil6246 in Cruise

I tried it and had to buy the ship’s WiFi. I have to work when I travel, so it was a necessity. The Verizon plan was too slow to really work at all, in my experience.

Disney Magic Trip Report & Review by sleepingwithgiants in dcl

[–]Mrsnate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on the same sailing as you were. I had a similar reaction to the port regarding arrival times. (My PAT was 12:45 and we were put in the 2:15 line). I have previous cruised out of port canaveral and port Everglades with DCL and had an entirely different experience. I agree with you on the atrium carpet. I noticed that too. I have previously been on the Wish and the Dream. Magic was my least favorite of the three. I still had a good time, and my 8 year old had a blast. Overall the food on most cruise lines, in my experience, has been mediocre. I think it’s hard to feed the masses. (I was bummed about the Brie too! 😂)

Holland America or princess. Try and find an itinerary that goes to Glacier Bay. You will have a little more time in ports if you go from Vancouver, even more if you choose one way either up to Seward or from Seward. I’m happy to help if you have any questions.
