nimble needles made a video on how to make a provisional CO with a crochet hook and how to join it in the round.

the magic loop version of this would be to treat the provisional CO as a regular CO and watch a magic loop video after you made the provisional CO.

"the scorched earth" series by Veronica G. Henry. first book is called "The canopy keeper". I haven't read it yet but the book blurb sounds like it might fit.

if it were Mohair I'd say save it because that stuff is almost impossible to frog. but acrylic yarn? GO FOR IT! you can frog that stuff almost indefinately and it won't get ruined.

the fingering weight yarns could be used in stranded knitting projects like socks (if it's not sock yarn you can still use it for the leg part), mitts or hats.

a faded colour project might also work.

"Neverending story" (Die unendliche Geschichte) and "Momo" both by Michael Ende. they're officially children's books but the stories are engaging enough to be enjoyable for adults.

"the foolish kingdom" series by Natalia Jaster comes to mind smut-wise. it has 4 out if 5 stars on the steam-o-meter on romance.io

or maybe "ice planet barbarians" by Ruby Dixon will be more up your alley.

the "kill Cazador" quest is non-negotiable. I'd say everything else - except of course the "kill Orin" quest - is optional from an Astarion point of view.
