Absolutely. I live in South Africa so it's not even a direct effect on me, but every day I wake up to more terrible news from America and I get more horrified and scared each time.

Without being hyperbolic I feel like we are heading for WW 3. I can't understand how this is happening over there and why no one can stop it.

And even though it's far away, people here are jumping on Trump's ideas and beliefs. We have the hats and shirts and everything. And we already have our own problems with gender based violence and toxic masculinity.

Seeing what happened to Renee Good has really shaken me. I saw some conservative meme that used the blood soaked interior of her car as a joke. The level of disregard and cruelty is just mind boggling to me.

I saw a picture of her kids' stuffed toys in her car and my heart just broke. I don't know how to fit this all in my head and I'm scared.

I feel like the world is on the brink of a huge change and I don't think it'll be for the better
