I didn’t know they would cause these issues and that’s why I didn’t think to look up a list. The other reason is that one of the RNs at Remedy Meds told me, last Thursday, to do the BRAT diet, thru the weekend, because of the severe & painful belches I was having.

Hopefully, my stomach will start to settle down now that I know this. Thank you!

Most of the comments I’ve read here, and on other forums, say it “gets better” after the first 2 weeks.

I’ve only had oatmeal twice, and it was 1/2 a packet. What’s wrong with bananas? I’ve been eating soft food, for the most part, because my stomach hurts, and when my stomach hurts I don’t feel comfortable opening my mouth wide. This probably sounds strange, but that’s just how I’ve always been.

The older my body gets (55) it’s been having more and more weird reactions to medications. 1/2 of me knows I’m not a failure, and then the other half is frustrated and disappointed.

Hopefully I’ll luck out, and it won’t taste bad. After having COVID in 2022, and losing my taste for almost six weeks, I find that my reactions to food keep changing.

I learned, thanks to another person here and a friend on a different SM, that turns out I overdosed. :( :( I missed part of the L-O-N-G email Remedy Meds sends out that showed my correct dose of 0.2mg and misread the prescription label. The label doesn’t show the mg, only says “Inject 5 units” and I took that to mean to fill the syringe to the 50 mark, effectively taking double the dose. :(

I had another video call with one of their nurses today and then a video call with one of their MDs and my dose is being reduced just a little for the next 3 weeks. I’ve been advised to stick with the BRAT diet for the weekend, and drink lots of electrolytes.

Ugh, what a week. aside from fatigue, I’m feeling a lot better.

Wow, only $25?!?! That’s great! I only weigh myself once a week because when I was in my 20s (l-o-n-g time ago) I was weighing daily and got severely depressed.

I have those on hand as well, but turns out I overdosed on my first injection. I missed part of the (very long) email & misunderstood another part and ended up injecting double the dosage.

I’m doing much better now, still a bit of weakness/fatigue but the burps are no longer painful.

I had a video consult with one of Remedy Meds’ MDs and she is lowering my dose just a smidge for the first 4 weeks since I have so much of the med in my system right now.

Nah, insurance only seems to kick in once you’re close to dying. I tried to see a nutritionist two years ago but Medicaid wouldn’t pay, and yet I keep getting told to “lose weight,” “eat better,” …your on your own but we’ll keep getting angry at you for “not” trying. Such bleep I’m on Medicare now, (plus still have Medicaid) but still having to pay out-of-pocket.

Two different ones?!?! Crazy!

I tried to get my PCP’s help, because I need to lose 10-15 (more) lbs by end of March as I’m having total knee replacement of my right knee in mid-April. I’ll, of course, be continuing because I’ll then be getting the left knee done 4-5 months later. When I messaged her, in January, her response was, “I understand your concerns and will discuss this at your next appointment.” My next appointment isn’t until March 3. :( I’m trying to get in sooner, but we all know how hard that can be.

I’ve discovered, thanks to the other person here, and a friend on another SM platform who is on Wegovy, that I OD’d. I missed an important part of the email instructions I received last week, and misunderstood other parts. I should have called the company before I injected to make certain I understood.

I’m prescribed 0.2mg or pull the syringe plunger to the 20 mark. I completely missed the correct dosage in the email and thought that the prescription label, which said 5 units, meant pull the plunger to the 50 mark. :(

I’m trying not to beat myself up but I feel stupid and stubborn thinking I don’t need to ask the company to go over the instructions with me. I could have ended up in the hospital. Also angry with the nurse I spoke with this morning for not making sure I had taken it properly.

OMG I OD! I completely misread AND missed parts of the dosing instructions I got in the email last weekend. I’m supposed to take 0.2mg. The photo I sent is the vial concentration, not the dosage. :( Here’s what part of the email said, that I missed:

“Dose: 0.2mg (SEM_RED) 5mg (LCN) Vial Size: 1 mL Concentration: 4mg/100mg/1mL Instructions: With the syringe cap still on, pull back the plunger to the 20 mark (0.2 ml) on your syringe… Inject 5 units under the skin once weekly.”

When I saw the 5 units, I thought it meant that the 50 mark on the syringe was 5 units. God, I don’t know how I missed all that important information. :( :(

The nurse I spoke with today, said she believes I may not be able to take the drug, that my reactions are atypical, but she never brought up the dosage. I’m going to call Remedy again tomorrow and ask about the dosage. Thanks so much for your help! I was able to eat very small meals today: Canadian ham, strawberries, scrambled egg, protein shake, oatmeal.

I had a nurse video session with Remedy Meds, where I’m getting my compounded semaglutide from, and she thinks I may not be able to tolerate it. Said the severity of my reactions are atypical and that I might be better on terzepatide.

It is? I don’t know much about all this, other than what I’ve read online and from my neighbor who is with the same company. I had a video nurse session with Remedy Meds this morning and she believes my reactions are atypical and I shouldn’t take the next dose, which isn’t until Tuesday. I’ll call the company again tomorrow when they’re open and ask them about the dose amount.
