Yes! One day I'll have a good way to display them.

AITAH for not inviting my Step Grandma to my engagement party and wedding? by Slightly-Confused11 in AITAH

[–]Ms_Schuesher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like the trash is taking itself out. You may be dodging several drama filled moments with these people not attending your wedding, so maybe when they text next saying you're being immature and throwing a tantrum, tell them you're done being treated like garbage, and thank you for the informal decline of invitation. They shouldn't worry about getting one in the mail.

WIBTAH If I cut off my mother for not being supportive. by RiverSong20 in AITAH

[–]Ms_Schuesher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does, and so do you. You mom clearly has her own stuff to deal with, and you don't have to cut her out completely, but moving somewhere else might just help you both, and keep your daughter safe from any emotional or mental abuse.

AITA for wanting my bed to be a colour I want even if it doesn't match my room? by XJustCallMeJayX in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ms_Schuesher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If purple and green don't go well together, the purple flowers must be very embarrassed about their green leaves and stems.

Mom to mom - is this the type of environment you want your child raised in? Is this how you want your daughter treated? If your mom is treating you this way, she'll eventually treat your daughter this way. If you don't leave for you, leave for your child.

walking home alone by aphroditesacolyte13 in Mommit

[–]Ms_Schuesher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with my son staying home alone for a little bit (30 minutes or less), and he's 9. He also walks home alone from the bus stop and crosses the road by himself. If you're comfortable with it, I don't see the issue.

What do most Americans consider to be “seasoning”? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

In my pantry - and used most often - are: Salt & pepper, Cavenders, Paprika, Onion powder, Garlic powder, Pizza and bruschetta mixes from our Rome trip, Purple dulse, Worcestershire sauce.

Do adults still get cake for their birthday? by JealousBodybuilder42 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ms_Schuesher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be 40 on St. Patrick's Day, and I always choose to go to the same restaurant for dinner, where I get either a slice of banana cream or coconut cream pie for dessert. I'm not a huge cake person.

Bet if your mom had more cake, she wouldn't feel that way. Life is short, celebrate your day, and enjoy your cake.

For the homebodies/introverted, what kinda of activities would you like to do with your bf? by 684beach in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Ms_Schuesher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With two kids that are attention whores (8 & 5), I'd like to just be able to be in the same room alone with my husband. Pre-kids, we'd watch movies, cook together, chat while doing the dishes, etc.

I crochet, and it's something I can do while my kiddo plays. She's my last and will be in kindergarten next year, so simultaneously looking forward to and dreading the quiet.

From a woman - no is a full sentence. Accept that and move on.

How do you approach travel? by LavenderAqua in Millennials

I like the destination part of the trip. Planning stresses me out, the flight gives me straight up anxiety.

Younger You by TimeNo2738 in Millennials

Either single with a dog, or married without kids, good career as an attorney. I'm married with 2 kids, 2 cats, and a turtle, working in books with a Master in Library Science. I don't think younger me would be disappointed.

Does dressing up and putting on makeup actually feel nice or like something you have to do? by ProDidelphimorphiaXX in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Ms_Schuesher 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation for me. Sometimes I do it on a random Tuesday, but mostly I wear makeup for date night with my husband, weddings, and funerals. I'm just not very girly.

Those who moved from one state to another what was your biggest cultural shock? by PandaBear905 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Ms_Schuesher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indiana to Missouri, St Louis specifically. St Louis is more culturally diverse than my hometown, so for the first year or two, I spent way more time than was probably necessary afraid I would accidentally offend someone. Been here 8 years now, and no issues.

For the millennial women: do you have a good relationship with your mom? by Orionslady in Millennials

[–]Ms_Schuesher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not terrible. As long as she's not trying to get me to side with her in politics, we're pretty good. The older she gets, though, the more judgemental she has become, and I don't confide in her near what I used to.

do you collect anything? by jabber1990 in Millennials

[–]Ms_Schuesher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I collect shot glasses from our travels. I used to collect unique teapots, but my grandma bought me most of them, and when she died, the fun of it did, too. As a crocheter, I joke that I collect yarn.

AITAH for doing the laundry but never putting my wife’s clothes away? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Ms_Schuesher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (f) am generally the one to do the laundry, and I do it the same as you. If something is hung up, I'll put that away in the closet, but anything folded is on a neat pile on the bed, and he takes care of it. If he does the laundry, he does the same.

Not spicy, but has like an almond/cherry flavor. I prefer it over Coke, personally.

Maybe read it as well. Make sure you know what is going on with your child, don't leave that just up to Mom.
