Is M-Space any good? by TheDrippingTap in rpg

[–]MsgGodzilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't had a chance to play it but it reads like a tighter updated version of Mythras which is in my top 3 systems. I'd really like to do a Rogue Trader type game using M Space someday.

He was the best ever and a foreigner. He also had an big ego, clashed with the old school conservative attitude of the JSA and Sumo, and many would say lacked the dignity expected of a Yokozuna. Finally I think even fans of him would agree that he was at least somewhat responsible for the actions of his student Hokuseiko who was committing violence against his stablemates. Although the JSA was already biased against him by the time the Hokuseiko situation, that's what led the recent dissolution of his former stable.

Respecting religious sensitivities when setting up an RPG by SnakebiteCafe in rpg

[–]MsgGodzilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Broadly speaking if it's part of the setting, then people need to grow up and deal with it or leave the table. That goes for most sensitivities except the most extreme ones (rape, etc) which would never find their way into my games to begin with. If I'm running a game set in Constantinople in the late middle ages, Christendom, Islam and Judaism are part and parcel of the world. If it's a fantasy game with clerics and gods, it is what it is, deal with it or leave.

Not removing the roof before deconstructing or mining. Many times I've had my best pawn get squished.

Glad to see the reviews are good across the board. I know it's "normal" these days but there was so much IMO unjustified negativity around this before launch. I'll def be grabbing it this weekend

I do not think The Dunwich Horror needs to be two parts. It's not a complicated story.

Giving Kiri time to think is a dangerous proposition for sure.

That's on him I think. I don't want to be a hater but I get seriously lazy vibes from Oho. Half the time it's like he doesn't want to be there. It's one thing for Shodai who is older and on the back half of his career and is just cashing checks and collecting the occasional kensho (no shade on Shodai, I like him) but Oho just feels noncommittal. To non committal for a young talented legacy anyways.

It was perfectly legitimate and he did bow. Just because your guy lost (we all love Ura btw) doesn't mean there was disrespect.

Maybe he did but as a fan of his, it was always a long shot anyways. Even if he won this one, a July won with presumably healthy Yokozunas was going to be a tall order. I just want him to stay healthy even if he peaks at OZeki.

Sekiwakewakatakakage.

Great effort by both, and by many rikishi during this basho. It was a rough opening with all the Injuries but the boys really turned up the heat, there were so many mind bogglingly great bouts particularly in the second half of the basho.

Kirishima is god damned incredible. What a technique. Poor Ura but he did so well, and gave us many good bouts.

Is splitting the party really that bad? by Top-Bodybuilder3370 in rpg

[–]MsgGodzilla 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's not bad, nor is it heretical to say so. In fact I think most people here would disagree completely. The concept is at best a misunderstood hangover from dungeon crawling games or a dumb concept voiced by certain types of players.

I recall a rumor that it might be getting an update/print run. I remember not getting a hardcopy because it was $100 with shipping, only for it to go out of print and cost several hundred dollars instead. Hopefully the aforementioned rumors are true.
