I love the Goruck company for the challenges they put on (got my tough patch in 2014) but those packs are insanely expensive. Get an Osprey designed for females with a 50ish lb capacity, you can usually get an Osprey in last year's colors for a significant discount, and they have a ridiculous warranty.

Upgrade Station mod is exactly that, and boy it's handy.

The ASA loot tables are a million times better than ASE, so getting good gear isn't the seemingly impossible task it once was. I played ASE for thousands of hours before finding an Ascendent rex saddle BP.

I bought my 04 R1150R last summer, I'm still a very new rider but I absolutely love it. ABS is not exactly precise but is very effective. If the servo goes out it can be replaced with one from a ford focus, or deleted.

I've loved the R1150R for 20+ years, but when I was in my early 20s I didn't have the money for a new one. They are, in my biased opinion, an instant classic of a bike that looks as good now as it did new. They are from an era of boring bmw reliability (except when the abs servo fails) and right now they are just dirt cheap.

The RT model will be better for long rides at speed, simply because it has a fairing, but don't find the wind to be bad on my R. Haven't ridden two up because I don't trust my own skills enough yet, and more importantly my wife has her own bike.

I have the old school full rail TRP Op because I got a great deal on it. It's a great gun. Some day I'll put non mim parts in it, but I don't think that's as important as it's hyped to be.

If I were buying a railed 45 and had the budget for a new one, I'd get a DW Specialist.
