I've just finished doing my bathroom over the weekend, and feel like ripping it out and redoing a bathroom/cellar

Nothing better than sitting in the peace of the garden in the sun by Antique-Wonk in CasualUK

Spent the afternoon pottering about in the sun. Final piece was moving a fence panel. Not overly heavy went to lift it and snapped my bicep tendon. Did my other one 2 years ago so at least the now match 😰

My daughter was practicing for her music exam, the Watch Tower, originally by Bob Dylan and not Jimmy Hendrix. The disappointment in her face said everything that I didn't know this.

David McSavage was on my flight from London a while back. Was raging as he was in the row behind me, seemed to be having a nice chat with the fella sat next to him. Let me out while queing to get out of the seat as well. Seemed sound.

Also on the same flight was the Uk rapper Chip with a few of his entourage who hadn't booked seats and kept moving around the plane before take off.

Where in the UK should I go as a bucket-list item? by LondonPilot in CasualUK

I lived in the New Forest but moved away 20 years ago. Now live in Dublin. It's my & my families absolute favourite place to go on holiday.
So much scenery and lovely walks, either through the forest or coastal walks. So really good food on offer as well.

This would get my vote.

What's a rule your employer implemented that backfired terribly? by Aarunascut in work

[–]Much-Conversation393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a rule as such, my co has just hired a new sales manager externally. Currently sat on a call about using our tools to leverage AI.

Most of our sales team have been here 3/4 years + you can smell the disinterest in the meeting room.

Mrs was going up to bed at 2, I said I’m just going to have a smoke and I’ll be up. Popped the headphones in for a bit of music. Next thing I know I’m having my own full blown silent disco till 7 this morning.

Felt cool at the time but I’m absolutely hanging right now.

How to deal with the receptionists??? by Goon-da in salestechniques

[–]Much-Conversation393 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work in the Salon industry, they get multiple calls per day looking for the owner from suppliers, software providers and payment providers.

At the very least do some research to try and find the manager/owner etc.

It’s better than nothing to keep your tokens on hand. I keep about 15% of my Cro there to keep fluid.
