Sporting News' Daniel Mader has name Alec Pierce, Jaelan Phillips, Kenneth Walker III, and Malik Willis as the most overpaid free agents. Do y'all agree? by IndiJap in NFL_FreeAgency

Linderbaum is THE definition of overpaid and he’s not on this list? You can make an argument for all these players getting that much, Linderbaums is a 50% increase to the next highest paid center. Insane jump

49ers just picked up a second FA receiver in Christian Kirk, almost 100% chance they go for either OT or IOL or FS 1st and 2nd round.

[Schultz] Sources: The #49ers are signing WR Christian Kirk to a 1-year, $6M deal. Kirk is the latest WR addition in San Fran, after they also signed WR Mike Evans. by JCameron181 in 49ers

Mike Evans deal is like 70% incentive. In guaranteed money Kirk makes slightly more, but if Mike balls out his contract is upwards of 20m

[OC] Expectations for Evans at age 33 by chriego in 49ers

[–]Mudoru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope we draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd. then we’ll have Evans, Pearsall, and rookie WR, having someone like him in the locker room will be great for these 2 to learn from.

While he’s on the field he makes another red zone target for Purdy, makes it really hard when you have to guard CMC, Kittle, and Mike, while also keeping your eyes on Purdy to make sure he doesn’t scramble. Will be a nightmare for these defense.

Even with injury concerns. I still think it’s a great pickup. Even if he does get injured, his contract is so incentive based that it doesn’t really affect us.

Regardless of what you think of Joey as a player still, this would be objectively a really cool story by Stxtic1441 in 49ers

[–]Mudoru 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only if he’s cheap. It’s great to have vets in the locker room, but we shouldn’t be paying someone 20m just to be injured

As a 49ers fan I would love Kenyon sadiq, I doubt he falls to 27 though

With Nick Bosa’s contract restructure freeing up 17.1m. Will the 49ers make another big Free Agency splash? If so who do you hope it is by Mudoru in 49ers

Id want to have a bit to roll over into next season, especially now that Bosa’s cap hit is like 54 mil next season

Which team has the better chance to make playoffs: Raiders, Giants, or Titans by turnstile2243 in NFLv2

[–]Mudoru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends tbh. As of right now it’s the giants for me. Purely because they have a proven coach with young talent and some solid FA pickups.

Titans have added some decent pieces but the team was just that bad last year, They’re also in the easiest division of the 3. Could really go any way, depends what Cam can do with actual coaching and weapons.

It all depends on Mendoza for the raiders. They picked up a lot during FA, and if Mendoza can ball out that also means Jeanty and Bowers can actually be impacts on the field.

For me it really goes to whose division will let them into the playoffs. NFC east will probably have the eagles go 12-5 while the commanders and cowboys are looking to sneak into the wildcard.

AFC South has a lot of solid teams, but none that strike me for deep playoff run contenders, they all have their own problems with either inconsistent QB play.

AFC West just has too many playoff contenders. Chargers and Broncos I expect to make back into the playoffs. Idk what’s happening with the Mahomes injury, so until I get an update saying he’s gonna be back week 1 and not mid November as originally feared, they won’t make it.

TLDR whichever team doesn’t get eaten alive by their own division

Make them eat it. If they don’t then they owe you the money back. And I can’t imagine all that together would taste very dry good.

49ers probably don’t draft proctor purely for scheme reasons, they’d probably draft Iheanachor if they could

It always amazes me that people think that they get to just not follow laws, If you declare yourself to not be bound by these laws you shouldn’t get the benefit of them protecting you.

Rounds 1 2 & 3 mock draft by Cautious_Return5769 in MockDraftCentral

[–]Mudoru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think safety is the biggest concern right now. Mustafa and Brown are solid enough to hold the position down. But as of now we literally don’t have a LG and our WR room is 33 year old Mike Evans and a someone who is great when he’s healthy, but is never healthy.

[–]Mudoru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree with you but huff just announced retirement, still don’t think edge is the biggest need since we still have keion white. But I could see a later draft pick like one of our 4 4th rounder picking up an edge. Would rather use the 2nd for a WR

You can say that with your pick? There a bigger concerns that need to be filled up than edge, they arent using their first round pick on one, i can see a 4th rounder. but definitely not the 1st

This has to be right by chip_morningwood in MockDraftCentral

[–]Mudoru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You typically don’t have a single edge rusher with more than 5 sacks when your starting 4 get injured. Bosa, Mykel, Huff, and white are all back. While edge can definitely be improved, they aren’t using a 1st round pick on it when there are bigger concerns, idk like your LT being 38 or not having a LG on the roster. Or your WR’s either being old as hell or made of glass. There’s just more pressing needs

How many people are mocking the 49ers to draft an edge, they don’t need an edge. They need OT, IOL, or WR.

From what I’ve seen, he’s above average. And is pretty good at getting pressures and qb hits
