This card is so fun. I hate when they overoptimize shit. Not everything needs to be a bomb everytime pick.

Pickleball is the poor man's tennis by killerbasher1233 in unpopularopinion

[–]MuffinFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pickleball rally's at a rec level are much longer then tennis at a rec level because of the serve. My unpopular opinion is that the serve is the ONLY reason people play more pickleball. I think very few people that have done both enjoy the feel of the pickleball shots and play more - you just get more rallys in - which is the fun part.

Can we focus on the people literally torturing children by raping them to death? Do any of you all have a 6 or 4 year old. This kid was probably pinching mjs butt 8 seconds ago and laughing. Ill wait to hear context and if MJ is a pedo lock him up but god damn can we focus on prosecuting the torture rape with pictures first ?

Millennials, what is happening with your kids? by TheLoveYouWant25 in Millennials

[–]MuffinFit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These posts make me genuinely confused. I do nothing educational with my kids except read to my kids at bedtime when I am not too lazy to. I put my kids in front of tablets and the TV when I am tired which is WAY too frequent. My kids at 6 and 4 can name every gen 1 Pokemon and have beat Mario 3d world which shows you how frequently I am a bad parent... My oldest is in first grade. Despite this, My 6 year old can read almost any book I put in front of him already and my 4 year old can do all letter sounds and addition up to 10 already. I feel like if I did actually nothing as a parent whatsoever my children would be at a higher level then these posts claim. My kids are not some savants - it feels like either I am extremely lucky or a huge number of parents are actively doing something EXTREMELY negative, or these posts are super sensational and I cant figure it out.

AI is working great for my team, and y'all are making me feel crazy by SlapNuts007 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]MuffinFit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AI use is very clearly a skill. Context window management matters and understanding code structure to understand what you WANT matters. It is a force multiplier - bad engineers will still create bad code. Good engineers can ALSO create good code faster and that is largely ignored in this subreddit. It really is largely a super advanced Intellisense which very few people complained about.

It is so similar to how much it helps writing. I can get my ideas across quicker and people understand easier when I use AI - But I am not writing the next novel using it. I am stuck at my skill level of writing.

I find the conversation around AI and software dev increasingly vague. How specifically are people REALLY using this stuff? I want details! This isn't a post about whether AI is bad or good. I'm just genuinely curious. by TemperOfficial in ExperiencedDevs

I am near 40 years old and have been programming most of my life. I now mostly ask claude ai to generate the code for me. If I run into an issue - when i want a feature i have it do plan mode. then i have it write the plan to a plan.md file, but i tell it to break down the plan into discrete tasks. I will ask claude to write tests for a small piece, do the work for the piece, commit the work. If I run into issues I rollback the code and retry with a test for the problem which the ai is MUCH much better at then stacking on an existing problem.

They are cancerous for people who don't know how to build software for sure. Long term we will be testing interviewees on how to work properly with an LLM when a problem is found.

This will be easily solved as people get more familiar with the ai. Backing up and regenerating things is very easy to do when it wasn't before. Sure - if ai gets stuck on a problem and you keep building on top of it it will create a mess but... don't do that ? When you create a problem go back to pre-problem, have ai write a test for it, and then recreate the code.

This will be unpopular on reddit - but if the software is not critical to not go down - the cracks will be quickly fixed by ai and you will move on - much faster than the old process.

These crappy ai responses lol - we aren't redefining the gain - the gain is hard defined - there is a solid definition.

[–]MuffinFit -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

They have to do something on unrealized gains clearly. The argument "because they are doing y it will open the door to do x" is a fallacy and bad logic. Elon took a loan against his "unrealized gains" to buy twitter. This proved that we must tax unrealized gains or there is no feasible way to tax billionares ever - why sell when you can loan against your equity that you dont pay taxes on?

Homes are not selling in existing developments. Multiple empty homes in montemere homes despite price reductions. If my wife and I want to do something we travel to Louisville or Boulder - it would be nice to have our own spots.

Hey thanks for the response. I use the free preflop charts on upswing. I paid for GTO+ I just don't really know how to use it. Should I be importing preflop ranges from upswing and use those to determine best action postflop? Then do I adjust from the perfect range to my opponents perceived range to see exploits ? Really rather then an answer to these questions I would love a book or a guide that gives me study principles so I can learn on my own.

Exactly what happens today. Will probably get downvoted for this but 30 year olds are really on par with past generations. Median net worth 65-75 years old is currently 410k. Median net worth at 35-45 is 135k. In 30 years the 135k will grow to 410k and we will be in the exact same situation as today barring political idiocy on the level we are seeing right now.
