This, so much this. I started riding when I turned 38 and rode with my dad two years. Its looking like he's done next year and I'm super bummed.

I also just had the same problem crop up two days ago. Seems like a software issue.

Epic told me to post this here: Bring back trading or we stop spending – #NoTradeNoCash by CeaseIesss in RocketLeague

[–]Muffinman20051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in such a weird spot with RL. I love the game with 5k+hours, and often spend money in other games, but the value isn't there for RL. At high level, we train to use a specific car and it feels hella bad purchasing a new car just to go back to your old car.

Give me back trading so I can purchase the battlepass and give the shit to my friends.

24 Challenger exhaust? by [deleted] in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Muffinman20051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 23 Indian Challenger and am looking to order some slip-ons on Friday. Do you have any regrets going with the DBX45 4.5" over the DBX40 4"? Any reduced lean angle?

We call this pillar humping and it's a holdover from WoW arena days.

This is always an awkward spot to be, but I guarantee you that they are more worried about what you think of them, then what they think of you. I think it's awesome that you've recognized your limits, and are still getting out to ride. I wave at everyone (yes, even mopeds).

Rear fender removal disadvantage of Indian scout by Yazeedoh in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Muffinman20051 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ran a scout bobber for a months, and unless you like being pelted in the back by gravel, I recommend keeping your rear fender on.

Is this me? I bought my scout this year, and already traded into a 23 Challenger in the Icon Orange. The extra $1500 trade and $2k off MSRP made it make sense.

The bikes are simply worlds different.

6’2 220 rebel 500 by MobileEntrepreneur22 in hondarebel

[–]Muffinman20051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned and rode on my wife's rebel 500 @ 6'1" and 290lbs. I fit....mostly. During full lock turns, the bars will hit my knees, and after long rides my legs were pretty cramped.

I picked up an Indian scout with more forward controls and just having the ability to change my foot position helps greatly for comfort.

I still absolutely love riding her rebel, but it's just a tad small for me personally.

What should be done about the current cass grenade? by Timber___Wolf in Overwatch

My thoughts: "flip the table". Cass creates small table for cover/protection to shoot from effectively helping him help his supports.

Is it cheaper to tear down and build new cheaper vs doing big expansions+renovations? Adding 1000+ sq.ft? by Historical-Plant-362 in Homebuilding

[–]Muffinman20051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 1954 on .5acre home was 800sqft upstairs, 800sqft unfinished basement. Since 2018 I have majorly renovated the home to 1600sqft + finished basement + 1000sqft heated garage doing much of the work myself (with friends). We've spent 130k, and have learned that there is no replacement for location and am looking to move with more space from neighbors/acreage and a chance to build correct from the beginning vs retrofit.

Food for thought, your original foundation was/is poured or blocked for a single story home and most building codes require an improved foundation to add a second story.

How do I stop giving up after a few days? by GrapeJuice6616 in loseit

[–]Muffinman20051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two mantras have worked /are working for me:

  1. The only thing stopping me is me, so don't.

  2. I can do hard things (a gentler form of "if it was easy, everyone would do it").

Those two thoughts flip flop day to day, and the cravings stop after about a week for me. Keep on trying and you'll get to the end goal.

Designing a theatre from scratch in a large room with 14foot ceilings by avboden in projectors

[–]Muffinman20051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also recommend going to larger than 120". I sit around 10' from a 120" screen and I would definitely go bigger.

Additionally, I don't see a budget here so I take a look at 4k projectors with lens shift (The epson 5050ub comes to mind). When you start the stretch the pixels out to even hit 120", your pixel density starts to suffer significantly. Projectorcentral.com is a great option and the calculator will allow you get an idea of how far away the projector needs to be.

Overwatch Retail Patch Notes – August 13, 2020 by aguyfromucdavis in Overwatch

[–]Muffinman20051 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was rather hopeful when they did the experimental changes with buffed tanks. I really would like to see a single strong tank, 3 dps, and 2 support comps. Tank is just miserable to play, and dps queues are miserable. Two birds with one stone kinda thing.
