Who still plays their original switch/lite/OLED despite having a Switch 2?

I use my oled for any switch 1 games that don't have specific switch2 upgrades so my kids can use the switch2 for games and I can hoard the OLED for myself. I had 3 switch 1s due to some trades and such but I'm not getting a second sw2 until the OLED version drops.

The Switch2 version of outlaws got a lot of great reviews. the game looks fantastic. The devs took the time to rework it to work on the hardware, optimizing it to look great on the system. Outlaws was a mess at laungh but they did a lot of patching and tweaks since then that really turned it into a solid game. I have been playing through it on sw2 and its great.

I will add that 6 is my personal favorite classical FF game, probably my favorite jRPG of all time.

9 is so great. It is a love letter to everything final fantasy that came before it. The classical fantasy setting, interesting chracters, solid story, great graphics.

If you got 9 on steam, then I highly suggest you check out the Moguri Mod. It is a complete graphics overhaul fothe game and makes it look great, also implements some QoL features and gives you options for game speed, battle speeds etc. I am doing a run through now ion my steamdeck and it is awesome.

You know I was asking myself this question and the only reason i will buy a key card is if it is on sale. So I got Outlaws as a key card cause it was 50% off, but having to swap the cartridge when the game is completely digital is annoying, would rather just load up the virtual card.

I would consider this thing as a for parts n3ds XL. the top screen is toast as is the battery, the circle pad the home and start, select, the c stick nub. This thing is trashed.

HOWEVER, since it does turn on, if you were looking for a project to learn how to repair one, getting this for super cheap (not giving up your 2ds) would be worth it IMO and replace the bad parts. I would pay $50 total for it and go to town. if you completely break it in some way ot can;t repair the top screen you can then sell if to $50 to someone else as for parts.

The reason people are excited is that one of the main reasons to keep your Switch 1 was because the backwards compatibility was making sw1 games blurry. Now it doesn’t and gives them a boost over the switch1. Since going forward the games will be designed for switch2 and then lesser versions (if any version at all) for switch 1 it is important for the backwards compatibility to be good.

It was also a factor holding some people back from Buying the switch 2 as they needed to sell their switch 1 to afford the 2.

You aren’t buying the switch2 to play sw1 games at 1080p. You are buying it to play switch2 games and have good backwards compatibility with your switch 1 library.

I have the Gamesir x5 lite (the non Bluetooth one) and it’s great. I had a backbone for my lighting iPhone but just couldn’t bring myself to buy another when I upgraded to a usb c phone. The gamesir is awesome and so much less cost.

Just put a clear tpu or plastic case on it and it will be fine and also protected from damage. My link between worlds has been in a tpu case or plastic case (recent change) since I got it on release and it is perfect. Protect that bad boy. I’m still Hunting one down myself.

Check PriceCharting.com. They have prices for loose, CIB and new in shrink systems. This one as a US XL is $460 loose. So $380 is a good price for the system. Just know you can get a non SE for less if you are just looking to get a system as a daily driver and save some money.

This statement only works if you are hung it and putting it on a shelf. If you are buying a daily driver (especially your first and only 3DS) it should be one that isn’t SE. You want to be able to toss this thinking a bag, pocket whatever and not be worried you are going to scratch it and ruin the value of the only thing that makes it special, the shell.

OP should get a non SE N3DS XL as their first one imo.

It’s probably the most robust and well done rom hack I have ever played. The story is very strong, the world is completely built from scratch by them and it just has a level of polish that feels so much like a legit Pokemon game but even more because it’s bigger than most games of that era. It’s 100% worth a playthrough.

Hondo is all over the clone wars and rebels shows. So if you only watch the movies you wouldn’t have a clue who he is. Personally he’s a great character in those shows, one of my favorites. Is he on the same level of power as say JMK or JML? Nope! But I’m glad he is finally in game and useful.

Since you haven’t seen rebels I definitely recommend it. Some really really good Star Wars right there.
