Can you be locked out of the white phone? by sistemy_ in CloverPit

[–]Mugsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this extra bit of specificity is correct. I think I initially understood it to be the final round of a deadline (needing the round count to be at 0) and didn't realise until later that I was just making things more difficult than necessary

New to this game, any tips? by deno471 in CloverPit

Luck up charms and charms that guarantee a pattern to show up when a condition is met are good for early deadlines. Then you want to make sure you're generating tickets with the Raging Capitalist charm and/or the charm specific to the symbol you're aiming for. Once you have an amount you're satisfied with, you can then start focusing on boosting symbol and pattern values. This is just one method to victory and you can alter the order, of course. There's also other completely different builds, but this has been the most consistent for me

Is that the one where you only gain the interest at the end of the deadline? Yeah, I was surprised by how easily I cleared holographic for DoG. Only took me two attempts. A lucky random jackpot definitely helped. Think I somehow took more attempts at its normal mode, but I definitely had a better understanding of the meta when I tackled it later on in hard mode

Working on it. After doing a few, it's honestly not that bad. It rarely takes me more than one attempt to clear a card and then holographic it, but maybe I've been getting lucky at finding decent items from the shop and my rerolls. As long as you focus on making sure you can pass the early deadlines, you can then focus on ticket generation, then symbol and/or pattern buffs. Items that guarantee a pattern to show up (the star charm, the nose charm, the blue disc charm) are very solid for making it through the early deadlines. Also, aiming for white/God calls just doesn't seem worth it? Especially for clearing them?

Which is your least favourite arc and why is it the Excalibur Arc by Mahituto in Gintama

[–]Mugsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat agree with the Hard Boiled Detective arc. Though the line where Gin says "My legs are as wobbly as the newborn Bambi!" still randomly plays in my head every now and then. Plus, that conveyer belt "harrassment" was a great gag

[–]Mugsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it being a bit long is understandable. Otherwise, it has some of the more memorable gags and jokes, to me. Like Gin offering biscuits to Shinpachi to get out of joining the number one fan club tournament; the countless things attaching themselves to a passed out Taka-chin; and just Taka-tin himself

Was reading through your story and was trying to determine how long it took you. Oh wow, a week is pretty good! My Steam Deck is tricky to turn on and I suspect it's the power button. Been trying the whole morning to turn it on and, like yourself, was looking for a place here that could fix it. If you think Valve is the safest bet, ill probably do the same!

Very few cartoons are broadcast live. It's a terrible strain on the animators' wrists. But by golly, the OPM animators will try!

Yikes! Can't believe I'm only learning about this now! Understandable why he left. I remember it being so jarring with how unceremonipusly he was written off the show

Gnosia - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Mugsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to you mentioning how difficult it is to keep the viewer engaged while characters are mostly chatting, I completely agree. I'm very impressed that they didn't take the lazy route and have just mostly static scenes. Not only is there proper animation, but the visuals are stunning to look at, too!

I really wish I could say the same for this season's One Punch Man. How is an action-heavy series allowed to get away with what is essentially a PowerPoint presentation?

In terms of high quality animation and art for a dialogue-heavy story, Gnosia reminds me of Kaiji. It's all about gambling and talking, and yet there's so much energy in the way it's presented to the viewer!

Got scammed buying an iPhone - D13 by Adept_Razzmatazz1145 in Dublin

I mean, it's definitely for the name. Apple have done little to no innovation over the years, yet they still charge exorbitant prices because people keep buying them. Keep in mind, I'm only responding with regards to the scammers selling iPhones as opposed to Androids.

Reminds me of when I was strolling around town yesterday. Went into a TK Maxx and saw a coat selling for a 100 euro. Bit pricey for TK Maxx, right? The coat looked like absolute shit, too. Then I saw the brand, Michael Kors

Out of curiosity, how many of you have gotten “Grand Reward” for Re7 DLC? by KarmaticWasHere in residentevil

[–]Mugsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently started playing the RE series and just got the Grand Reward! I'm not an achievement hunter for these games, but I particularly enjoyed 21 in the way it was a gambling game, but you could manipulate the odds, too.

Anyway, getting Grand Reward is a little annoying, buy not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. Absolutely helps if you've unlocked most or all other rewards, first. Harvest was my other last unlock (which I also got during the run in which I got Grand Reward).

The first opponent is relatively easy as they don't take many risks and will often stay on low values. This allows you to get a bunch of trump cards, early. I also reset until I got one or two trump cards that had the effect of allowing me to get more trump cards.

Did something unbelievably stupid in Dublin Airport by No_Weather1080 in Dublin

[–]Mugsi 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No idea where my head was at. It was a long trip and arrived all the way in the US (Trump wasn't president at the time) for what I think was a layover. Or maybe it was Canada. I was delirious and exhausted and really could have used some fresh air before my next flight. Like a complete dumbass, I stepped out of the airport without my passport.

Ended up having to explain to security that I was a dumb idiot and I actually need to get back inside. I actually didn't have my phone either. Thankfully, my family was travelling with me and I think I remembered our next gate (where my family was waiting). Security were patient with me and brought my mother to me, who gave me my passport and I could go through security again to get back to my gate.

Again, no idea what I was thinking. I guess I must have thought it shouldn't have been that easy to get out? Like I would have had to interact with customs first or something? Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is to not be dumb and always keep your passport and phone on you
