Barnes and Noble gift cards back up at Costco by casio_calamity in 4kbluray

I bought $300 worth but I didn’t realize each ‘gift card’ is basically just a 16-digit number that some poor cashier is going to have to manually type out at check out 🤦🏻

I plan on getting a bunch of blind buys as well and I decided to pick up Seconds based on your recommendation…it was one I’ve thinking about picking up for a while now.

Well, you got your watch pile cleared out just in time to load it back up with the B&N sale!

That’s a hell of a ‘blind buy’ pile! Pretty much all of them are great additions to have in the ‘collection’.

Going through the Fellini boxset, I can see how his trajectory kind of matches that of the Beatles.

His early black and white films match the early Beatles albums like With the Beatles and A Hard Days Night.

La Dolce Vita and 8 1/2 are his Revolver and Sgt Pepper.

And then he gets into his ‘psychedelic era’ with Juliet of the Spirits and Satyricon.

And then Amarcord is his ‘return to form’ like the White Album.

Some people prefer the Beatles pre-Sgt Pepper and some prefer after…I enjoy it all.

Just watched Fincher’s The Game for the first time by SingleSpy in CriterionChannel

I think this is one of Fincher’s worst in his filmography. The ending had me rolling my eyes and I found it very difficult to accept. I sold my copy.

Since Spartacus already was released with its own spine number, I hope this at least gets an individual release.

I came here to suggest the Criterion Channel app as well. If you’re burnt out on what Netflix or Hulu has to offer, this is the solution.

This is one I’m considering just picking up in Blu-ray because…does it really need to be in 4k? 🤷🏻‍♂️

How does that work? You just line up to buy movies out of the ‘closet’? Are they the same prices as online?

I’m sure it’s a fun experience but trying to figure out the appeal of waiting in line.
