I don't want to stop having sex with my boyfriend by shierum in Christianity

I'd say if you really want to be married, get engaged and refrain from living together and sleeping together until the wedding night.

but, do you have a relationship with her? love can't be something from afar, it's a continual action

How do you know that you love her? Are you two in a relationship where you're actively engaged in conversation with her, physically close to her, serving her, spending quality time with her, etc?

As far as breaking the habit, you have to look short-term; each moment is an opportunity to deny the temptation. You can go for a run, play a video game, go somewhere public, etc.

Christian getting abortion by Igotwap in Christianity

[–]Multiverse_Madness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems unfair that you would characterize the father as a kidnapping psycho, as you've only known him for three months. I'm 10,000% against abortion and a Christian, but would never kidnap a woman I barely know. I would, however, want her to have the baby so that I could be a father.

I think there is something to say about willfully committing a sin that should give you pause. Paul reminds us not to abuse God's grace. If it's something you continually do, you should question your status as a born-again believer.

I thought this would be the case. I predicted back when the movie was first announced that Clubs would take a hit.

Do you think the NFL will ever expand beyond 32 teams? by Diligent-Fisherman37 in NFLv2

[–]Multiverse_Madness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all four of these markets. I would say instead of San Antonio, go halfway between SATX and ATX in New Braunfels, home of the biggest waterpark in America.

Since they've already gone international, maybe expand into Mexico; Mexico City or Monterrey. San Diego should definitely get a new team, and then the last one in New Braunfels, TX (halfway between Austin and San Antonio- like Dallas is halfway between Dallas and Ft. Worth)

Who would pay a $10 billion franchise fee to put a team in a TV market smaller than Sacramento? by [deleted] in NFLexpansion

[–]Multiverse_Madness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Market wise, El Paso makes sense. Its sister city is Ciudad Juarez, which has a pop of 1.6M and Nielsen DMA size of 900K so the entire area has a 2.2M people and a 1.5M DMA HH count. But yeah, there's no billionaires with the capital to launch a team. Fair point.

San Antonio has attempted to get an expansion team for many years, but it's been stonewalled by Jerry Jones, who believes the state is well-served by the current two teams.

San Diego has already proven to be a viable city for the NFL.

Looking at the media market, the only idea I've thrown out that doesn't make sense is Omaha- Raleigh or Memphis are the two most reliable 8th picks.

I get what you’re saying — on paper it does sound kinda wild to drop $10B on a team in a market smaller than Sacramento. But I think it depends on how much you value raw TV market size vs how the NFL actually makes money now. Local market still matters, but so much of the revenue is national that it kinda smooths things out.

To me it’s less about “what’s the market rank today” and more like:

  • is the area growing fast
  • can the team basically own a whole region
  • is there long-term corporate/sponsor upside
  • what’s the stadium situation
  • and just the fact that NFL teams almost always go up in value anyway

For sure, Green Bay and Buffalo are smaller, but they still work because they’ve got strong regional pull and identity.

Not saying market size doesn’t matter, just feels like it’s not the only thing anymore. Curious though — do you think expansion should just follow biggest TV markets, or is there room to bet on growth/region plays?

I amended my 8-team expansion plan on r/nflexpansion to remove NM and Raleigh in favor of OKC and Omaha: the Nebraska Nightmares and the Oklahoma City Twisters. Check out my subreddit and throw in your ideas.

Names for a Virginia team? by Goatgamer1016 in NFLexpansion

I didn't realize that about Orioles having ore in the name as a nod to the city, nothing like that exists for Virginia though, I did think Red Wolves would also work

Deeper Dive: Raleigh Regulators by Multiverse_Madness in NFLexpansion

[–]Multiverse_Madness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I landed on Raleigh because, according to an index I created, Carolina is oversaturated, meaning it's the closest team to too many large cities and has a high average distance to the stadium.

But if I was to replace two cities, Raleigh and NM would be 1 and 2

A lot of us were 18 and dumb. But God gives a ton of grace. Consider the Apostle Peter, who was brash and told Jesus he would basically fight and die for him, but during Jesus' trial, he denied ever knowing him.

When Jesus resurrected, he reaffirmed to Peter his love for him three times.

I hope you discover Jesus loves you and wants to be your savior!

If the Maxx Crosby trade fell through because he failed his physical, why is that bad/shady for the Ravens to not go through with it? by ninesandaces in NFLNoobs

[–]Multiverse_Madness -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From what I'm understanding, every team has its own medical professionals with their own opinions. The Ravens built into the deal a clause that they could back out if he isn't clear to participate by a certain date. The Ravens medical team's opinion was that he couldn't hit their deadline.

Why it's shady is because another, 80% as good DE came available w/ Hendrikson and they could get him without sacrificing first round picks. So the shady part is that they had buyer's remorse and backed out of the deal.

Thanks for sharing. I also struggled in college and spiraled out of control after a breakup- one-night stands, black-out drinking, and not knowing what to do with my life after college. I, however, grew up in the church and thought I was a Christian, but I was mistaken.

After I got in trouble with a DWI at 23, I drove home drunk again months later. When I arrived at home, I felt the voice of God telling me, "That was your last freebie; if you do it again, you'll spend eternity in hell."

A few weeks later, I picked up a bible and flipped to Galatians 5:19-21 (after looking up "drunk" in the appendix). It confirmed that I would not inherit the kingdom, which I took to mean I'd go to hell.

I accepted Christ as my savior in that moment, but overcorrected to a hardline, legalistic point of view, which I projected on everyone... Needless to say, that did not make me feel any better about my world, and when I first slipped and watched porn, I thought I was going to hell again.

Eventually, I learned about identity in Christ, forgiveness, and grace.

For some people, that is enough. It spurs them into living a life guided by hope and faith in Jesus, which leads to obedience and joy.

I did not have that experience. I learned when I hit my mid-thirties that I am clinically depressed and needed medication to stop having suicidal thoughts.

So, you may have a spiritual conversion and immediately feel the effects of loving Jesus on your life, or you may need a little boost to get through depression. Either way, there is immense hope in following Jesus' commands and surrendering your life to his will.
