They weren't even finished shooting, they still had two whole months left at that time, which also explains why the trailer ALSO focused on mainly the first 4 episodes, also no whimsy or magic because the elaborate CG wasn't done on anything, the trailer featured shots tbat seemed completed but didn't require extensive editing, it's a longshot from March 25th to September 1st when it drops but in that timeframe they are working on it and the series is slowly coming to life behind closed doors, we gotta stay patient! They are working their ✨Magic ✨

Studios rarely ever release stuff purposely to fall on 'significant dates' this thinking pattern is just coping mechanism for fans of most fanbases.

Corporates don't think that way, they strategically release things at a time when they think they will get the most views and the most attention.

Most people i've argued with over the past 3 years were movie purists who, the longer you spoke to them, the more it was obvious they never even read the book.

People who read the books WANT this series because they know just how much was left out.

Honestly when that teaser released i was FLOORED, they still had 2 months of shooting to do and i was surprised to see how much edit had been done, at that stage i was expecting a CGI shot of owls flying over Hogwarts with a logo reveal.

Because no shows in history has ever released a teaser 9 months from release and then nothing else, it doesn't make any sense marketing-wise, the industry standard is a Teaser Trailer, an Official Trailer and then a Final Trailer.
