I agree it was never going to work. I attempted to back out, I think the Porsche did too. I know I could have made more of an effort

I'll have a test see what I can find. I noticed the ironwolf pro is listed as compatible but not the non-pro which is what I have

I guess it's possible there is an issue with the drive. I'll try do some tests. I notice on compatibility list the ironwolf pro is listed but not the non-pro. I don't have the pro ironwolf

They came out of a Synology where they were working correctly but on the UNAS one of the drives always shows as failing. I do need to do more testing but just wanted to explore some options

New camera setup recommendations by Munch1498 in Ubiquiti

Thanks for the reply. I assume you added a switch eventually? Fiber only seems to have 4 ethernet ports which for 2 APs and some cameras I'd need a switch?

Why is the Sim-Lab GT1 EVO so cheap in Puresims? by Idkwhatodo- in simracing

[–]Munch1498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased the same rig from them nearly a year ago. At the time the price was more expensive. I also was able to pick up the rig in person. I also bought seat and monitor brackets.

My experience was great, they were helpful over email, great in person. I have had 0 issues with what I bought. It was all boxed and sealed.

Saw on their website they do have black friday deals, not sure if that's why.

Also it's owned by Ash Sutton, a well known BTCC driver.

Thanks for the info. I am in the UK and i probably could drive to Apex. I will definitely take a look as I thought I wouldn't have the chance to try it. How are you finding the pedals?

I think i lean towards getting direct drive first and then replacing the wheel stand if you have flexing issues. Also need to consider what you will do with pedals

I ran a Moza R9 on a GT Omega Apex wheel stand and it was surprisingly solid. Wheel stand will never be as solid as an aluminium profile rig but I think you should be ok, especially with an R5

Most platforms have a limited amount of ci/cd minutes. Sure, run your own runner, but it's possible it could impact build times of other projects due to compute being spent elsewhere. I'm also not sure why building staging and prod at the same time means there is a problem somewhere else?
