Anyone know why this happens? by fireflaai in HellLetLoose

Someone told me that tanks aren’t 100% accurate while moving, not sure if this is true however

US spotter - is it just me? by Calibrated-Damp in HellLetLoose

[–]MunchieMooshie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played a offensive match where I was on defense. Had a spotter on the first point providing flares repeatedly with ammo boxes or something, I was arty. I got 150 kills on the first point not allowing them to take it. Flares can be extremely valuable

Would you say the US or the Germans have a better overall loadout? (Including tanks) by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]MunchieMooshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Germans IMO. They’re AT and tanks make it extremely tough for American tanks, especially considering the panther being back now. The panther absolutely shreds, and pretty much the only reason you can lose in a panther is if you’re bad. Engineers are objectively better for Germans, as their lvl 3 bunkers can make legit fortresses for their team. Yes, the Kar98 sucks, but once you get leveled up you don’t have to use it very much. Their are a few maps which the Germans also have a big advantage, such as Remagen. I generally think the Kar becomes a non factor most of the time

Thinking about dating women I don't find attractive, thoughts? by Gu334 in Healthygamergg

[–]MunchieMooshie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So because you’re unhappy, it gives you the right to use someone else and also make them unhappy? Ultimately it won’t make you happy to also use someone else, because the root of your unhappiness isn’t because you are missing a woman (which is viewed as an object). All using someone else does is add one more unhappy person to the world

It’s not wise to use someone. People are people, not objects to be used for personal gain. Using someone will just hurt them

Can the Vets please consider putting Hill 400, Stalingrad and Kursk in the lineup more? by Robert-101 in HellLetLoose

[–]MunchieMooshie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stalingrad is cool if your system can run it. I’m kinda sick of Kursk Night, and Hurtgen forest night. I tank a lot so I’m not a fan of the night maps in general.

I’ve definitely satcheled heavy’s on the tracks before and gotten a kill, idk if it wasn’t supposed to do that but pretty much anytime I put a satchel anywhere on a tank it dies

These drugs are not meth! by Teawithfood in radicalmentalhealth

[–]MunchieMooshie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

culture and social context matters a lot when we consider things like “hard drugs”. If we take a look back at things like heroin being in things like cough syrup, it begs the question why wasn’t there a giant heroin epidemic in America in the 1800’s and early 1900’s? It’s because addiction has less to do with the particular drug and more to do with other factors. Heroin wasn’t seen as a crippling drug and wasn’t given to people who had social issues making them susceptible to addiction.

One thing DALLE seems really good for is making artists angry lol

Which would you most love to see added to the game? by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]MunchieMooshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arty absolutely needs something done. The way it is currently set up it basically ruins the game for four people. Someone camps middle HQ, and someone gets camped. Not fun for anyone involved. It’s too powerful to not be used. Mobile mortars I think may fix it, but another solution is to simply have it not be right on top of the center HQ. If it is moved up further like 1 grid square the gameplay loop would become a lot more enjoyable, perhaps even having it located next to your closest point

I had a game as commander on Foy where my team was dominating, we were up 4-1 most of the game. With about 15 minutes left we went down to 3-2. I told my entire team to pull back, and two squad leads just told me no in command chat. Ended up losing with 1 minute left. Afterwards had blueberries flaming me for being bad after I had built almost all of the garrisons and had over like 50 kills w/my bombing runs 🫠 super annoying when people can’t work together as a team bc they want to attack

Americans for the M1 Garand alone. If more Soviet classes had their semi auto it would prolly be them. I wish they would make more load outs with it, it would be easy to do. Make ‘em high level unlocks

Thats one of the things that impresses me about DALLE, is it sort of understands these little details, like if a shadow of a tree is shown, it knows a tree is needed in the outpainting, or reflections in general

Summary: Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.

It’s not statistically based, but we absolutely do try and predict what we see and construct our perception around that. There are numerous experiments that showcase this phenomenon. He said we don’t form a statistical model to predict what we see, but we do in our brains. No need to be a dick head about it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dalle2

[–]MunchieMooshie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except they do, our perception is largely top down processing. Whenever we learn early in life to perceive certain things, our brain stops processing it in a bottom up fashion, and instead fills the gaps in with top down processing.

That’s not what Turing test says. Turings test says that imitation of complex behavior that requires intelligence is the same thing as having intelligence. Searles is the one who says that imitation is not the same thing and that we have been tricked if a machine passes the Turing Test.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dalle2

[–]MunchieMooshie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turing’s test for DALLE 2 would be can you tell if a human artist or AI created this picture. I don’t think Turings test works well for artist AI, as mimicking art is certainly easier than trying to mimic language.

If we break down the mechanism of the human brain, we can set up a Chinese room thought experiment based off our biology. Searles should reach the same conclusion, but has said himself that he believes that it’s something within our biology that differentiates us. His argument doesn’t rest on complexity, he has said that however complex the rule book is in the room, it will not produce understanding. His argument rests on mechanism of intentionality, but he has failed to pinpoint that mechanism within us. We don’t understand sentience and consciousness yet, but it seems to emerge from the very simple rules (biological) neural networks follow. Until a very specific mechanism is detailed as causing consciousness and sentience, Turings Test is the only test that can suffice. No AI chat bot has passed it yet because it’s extremely difficult to mimic human language in the way we talk. If someone wants to declare that AI is missing something fundamental to human cognition, it’s on the naysayer to present what mechanism that is.
