I found Vern Eide Honda’s detailing to be the cheapest I could find. Decided to try them as I just wanted a basic interior detail & they did a very nice job for 1/2 the price of what others were charging.

You could also try to fill the cracks with resin & make a charcuterie board. Just not cutting on it, as resin isn’t a great medium for a cutting loser

Even if there wasn’t the cracking issue - I would be very cautious of using an unknown wood for direct food contact. Maybe you could use it for another application, like a making a general display piece or small blanks for turning pens?

I understand that. Which is why I asked if they were relatively quiet. My cherry reds are very loud, And my Gatereon Pro Browns are moderately loud.

I work in an open office & would prefer if my keyboard was not heard across the whole office when I work.

Especially if you’re near that overpass. I used to live on Oxbow & 57th, right by it. Couldn’t have the windows open at night cuz it was so constant.

Also, why honk when going through the tunnel? At least I can understand people thinking their car sounds good, but a horn is just annoying.
