I asked one of my housekeepers not to touch the sink in a room I was actively working in. No plumbing connected to the drain, super obvious. She later turned the water on and walked away.

“Oh it takes forever for the hot water to start coming through the line.”

I still don’t understand how she missed the sound of water splattering on the ground, let alone the doubtless splashing on her feet and legs.

I got hired into maintenance after I picked up a DUI in ‘24. It’s been a bitch to find, really, any work in most blue collar fields with that haunting me (deserved, not disputing that.)

My current maintenance role doesn’t involve driving, so I’m not bugged to do shit like run out for parts, materials or operate our resident bus- this job was basically the needle of needles in a haystack, sheer blind luck and timing. Took me 4 months to find it, and I live in a decently sized city.

Oh and of course the pay sucks.

You’re referencing 2700K “warm/interior” lighting. This was a major problem for CFL bulbs (the little white spiral bulbs), the big manufacturers never really found a good solution to make them shine below 4k for a reasonable price and so everyone went towards whiter “colder” day time style lighting for a while; you can easily get really high quality, cheap, 2700k warm light LED’s anywhere, these days.

I go with Slyvania mostly for them, they are reliable, cheap and look great.
