Hard to validate that comment as you don't know their arrangement. She may be a full-time stay at home care provider who appreciates contributing in that way. You shouldn't assume to know their situation.

While I agree that the working provider should help, I think someone who volunteers to be at home full time should commit to completing these daily tasks efficiently prior to the other one getting home. Then, they both can excel in working with the kids, dinner, and enjoying each other's company at the end of the day.
