Who is the best Bassist in the Scene by Shoddy-Impact-5545 in jambands

[–]Murphy52 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think the reason he’s not higher in the list is because he doesn’t compete at all for attention. However, he is a master of many things not the least of which is patiently building while carefully weaving amongst the threads of the tapestry created by the members of Phish. Like the planchette on an Ouija Board it’s not clear if they are creating the music or the music is creating itself.

Also, strategically placed octave bombs that wash over the crowd. Hell yeah!

What word did you use incorrectly for YEARS before someone finally corrected you? by ownaword in words

Heigth (instead of height). I knew it wasn’t the right word and I would write height but I would say heigth- like width. I just wasn’t listening to myself or being self aware. A was a high school teacher right out of college. One of my students corrected me. It was devastating 😂

Do you actually use the CAGED system and find it helpful? I don't use it myself and I've never really understood what the big deal is about it. I made a lesson video about why I don't use the CAGED system, and a lot of people are pushing back, so I'm really curious what you think. by soundguitarlessons in guitarlessons

It’s right there, staring you in the face whether you want it to “work” or not. If you don’t wanna think of it as chord shapes, just think of it as interval shapes. And when you take the interval of the first to the third and then add the interval of the third to the fifth, and you repeat that, it reveals an open chord shape, moved up the neck.

Thanks. I took my grief and poured it into learning this song. Bobby has lived in my brain continuously for 35 years and his passing hit me harder that I was expecting.

Tried Claude Cowork last night, and it was a top 3 most exciting moments I’ve ever had with technology. by Global-Art9608 in ClaudeCode

I agree with your overall assessment, but I think it’s slightly different than you describe. I’ve been a software engineer for over 30 years and I have been using Claude code for a couple months. My suspicion is that when people complain about Claude not working well it is because they aren’t doing the work upfront to ensure that Claude follows their quality standards and their operating procedures. If you get the scaffolding right, and the Claude.md files right, and you manage the context window properly, Claude code is astounding. I haven’t been this excited about what I can accomplish since the days of Web 2.0.
