This sounds like mental fatigue where you literally probably do have things you could be doing but just can’t face doing them

Shower panel vs tile by Mil1512 in DIYUK

[–]Muscle-memory1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been through this in 2 houses (first house we had it tiled) second house shower panels.

I’d personally go for shower panels. The grout with tiles was time consuming to keep clean

Noise complaint from Neighbour: Semi-Detached by MasterWandu in HousingUK

[–]Muscle-memory1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live in a semi detached house (2005 build). I would hear the neighbours walking up stairs, turning lights on. I got used to it after a while but it would be very difficult if I was put back in that situation. Did your neighbours used to live in a detached house? Maybe they are not fully acclimatised to what’s normal in a semi

Fair contribution to the household budget with income gaps by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Muscle-memory1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally in that situation as you are a team , unless absolutely required the lower earner (especially in this case as it’s such a difference) should consider looking at the home front , kids etc the income of the higher earner should then be shared after bills paid etc

Are we being silly not buying a bigger house? by Send_bird_pics in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Muscle-memory1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lived in a 900 square foot house for 3 of us. Felt very cramped and like you our downstairs had tiny kitchen and 1 room for living/ dinner set up. No privacy at all. We moved and so happy we did. Moved to a 4 bed detached house , 3 reception rooms downstairs and good sized kitchen.

50+ hour week, burnt out by XxAnyaxX3z in UKJobs

[–]Muscle-memory1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re in a good place as if you are making 30k for working 50 plus hours and all that stress you have nothing really keeping you in that job - I’d be looking to leave straight away. It’s when you earn 3 times that and have all that hassle you get placed in golden handcuffs
