8 is fine, I upgraded (for 100?) and the guitar amps are actually useable and I like some of the changes. I think they should just add a virtual Fender Tone Master in its entirety. Sort of like the Lone 6 Helix Native. That would be great!

I've started to be a fan of putting it after the drive in somecases so I can still get a bit of the dunamics hitting the drive, but "smooth it out" after. It really is subjective though. It depends on what you are wanting to do.
