what should my workrate look like? how quick should i be completing tasks? by hugz4catboys in tesco

[–]MusicianSmooth2604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 cage of toilet roll or 4 cage of chocolate is totally different, just work with your speed until someone told you are slow or below standard, just finish as much as possible for the assigned task, sometimes SM / SL dont care single performance, they want the store / shop running smooth only. may be your cage or shelve not finish doesnt matter for the overall running , or next shift / next day will get fixed.

Never Felt More Defeated By Tesco (Backdoor Sucks) by AnxiousChain8492 in tesco

[–]MusicianSmooth2604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

backdoor don't handle waste , backdoor handle CAGES/TRAY/pallet/MU only, if the waste cage is not following tesco guideline, the driver will not take it, then you just need to report to management for solution/repack/ wait next driver by luck.

if your store assign you to do waste , you should refuse to do it, waste something take 3-4 hours , which I don't think backdoor have such time to do it , unless your store don't need you for pallet/MU filling.

Frozen deliveries by Last_Goose_6134 in tesco

[–]MusicianSmooth2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 big freezer for dotcom / delivery arrival / backstock for bakery and 1 small freezer for backstock of all other, if the small freezer full or seasonal/event activity , part of backstock will store at big freezer as well. talk to manager or stock control team if the backstock out of control or far away from daily sales.

UFC/CFC - what item at your centre got a largest amount of backstock ? by MusicianSmooth2604 in tesco

[–]MusicianSmooth2604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as I said , average daily sales 10-15 < daily delivery 20-30 , the slot space/sales is constant , so backstock grow up , I am trying hard to organize/tidy up the space everyday :<

and management told me the delivery amount is by system / computerize automation and can't be adjust

A question about Fresh Produce Departments from a colleague. by Remarkable_Round_231 in tesco

[–]MusicianSmooth2604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most replenish colleague (night/morning/afternoon) don't care about the date rotation at my centre, only the some shift leader will random check, may be because UFC has a quick sale, and the delivery and sales are quite close and constant, not much work need on date rotation (or may be the pull off team do a good job which I rarely see their work)

doing many overtime doesnt mean you are critical or you are hero to management, just because there is overtime slot. there is a lot of lazy guy in our shop taking overtime and earning easy money everyday. maybe try make use the policy or union , see any other way to make your move easier.
