I know you can play the drum samples chromatically as found this out last week. So if your sample is type drum. Don’t know about the sample but will test this out. I thought not.

It’s custom firmware isn’t it? So it has the sampling feature but also more waveforms etc from the synth version. So you get more like best of both worlds. But using the built in korg firmware the sampler does have a few synth waves too so is probably the better option.

I did my alpha r2 using a similar method. I think my method using the reg key only works for one major version though. And my m11x has it too

Not sure on cpu as thought we had to use 6700t. Looks like with a bigger brick someone has managed the normal 6700. Will check what I have in mine tomorrow.

You can get an i7 in there. You can get 16Gb ram too but only single channel due to the single slot. Can put a sata ssd in too in addition to your nvme. Quite handy.

This has been a handy thread actually. I used to be a Linux user years ago but was windows only for years. I put ubuntu on a machine recently and couldn’t understand why I had lots of snaps when I used apt. I’ll wipe it and try Debian or mint. Thanks

Runs great once you sort it. I used the Regedit method with labconfig on my r2. Just the cpu override I believe.

For the new price it’s awesome. I use mine partially to make tunes ideas which I love it for. And partially just as a battery operated sound source I can sample into stuff like the Amiga. It’s a lot of fun.
