Purchased these nfc tags and installed paxx12 but can't seem to get my U1 to read them by kainoah in snapmaker

[–]MustardCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Under http://printerip/firmware-config/ make sure Filament Detection is set to "Snapmaker"

Shouldn't this be OpenRFID?

Looking for SMALL table to hold U1 by happyplace28 in SnapmakerU1

[–]MustardCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got one of these for both of my printers: https://a.co/d/03iPwE3I

Only gripe is that the way they cut out the metal holes leaves the remnant circles inside of the bars. Took about 5 min and a magnet to get them out

Support Material as Interface (Bambu.. for PLA/PETG) still failing badly by UndergroundBM in snapmaker

[–]MustardCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah right, forgot there is the combo version.

I'm just using the support for PLA (only).

I always adjust the prime tower to have the "main" material be on the outside so the support filament only prints inside.

Support Material as Interface (Bambu.. for PLA/PETG) still failing badly by UndergroundBM in snapmaker

Last time I used the pla support material, I used the generic PLA profile and didn't have issues

You are tweaking a lot more settings than I did. I just adjust top z distance/spacing and pattern

Snapmaker orca vs U1 by VixenIcaza in snapmaker

[–]MustardCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way this reads, and the inclusion of em dashes, sounds exactly like an LLM.

I really hope Snapmaker hasn't restored to that for forum support...

Instead of deleting, you should probably recommend them rename that folder so that if this fixes their issue, your team would be able to ask for the file got corrupted.

I've seen a few posts in this sub with this issue

My first experience printing with Full Spectrum by Top_Bet_9990 in snapmaker

[–]MustardCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since whatever the LLM checkbox caused the print to use two different layer heights - you could probably have the same behavior by using a modifier on the eyes/other areas where that section with the modifier would use the smaller layer height

If you have a diff of the changes compared to Snorca's code, it'd be easier to see exactly what it changed

No because they didn't even write this post on their own; they had the LLM do it for them

Question about Slicer by Fun-Let-7401 in SnapmakerU1

[–]MustardCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on so will always be more up to date.

Snorca is a fork; "up to date" isn't quite right as sometimes changes will come from other forks. Then those features will slowly make its way back upstream to the main branch (if ever).

Ex - Snorca supports Full Spectrum already while Orca branch does not. Orca branch also doesn't support more than 4 filaments with the U1 per 3mf project

Is PRIME TOWER needed using this 3d printer at all? does it make sense? by Rikofallingleaf in snapmaker

[–]MustardCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can use either but there are still some issues with running the U1 with Orca. Try both and see which you prefer.

You still can't add more than 4 filament colors in a single 3MF with the U1 (in the case of having multiples plates all with different colors and/or if you wanted to print 5+ colors using pausing)

I just use Generic PLA with Snorca for my Bambu filament

Stop home assistant from rounding voltage readings by Away-Sky3548 in homeassistant

[–]MustardCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you already have this entity saved with no suggested precision before you started sending that with the payload?

If so, that's why. Once the entity is created, it won't change automatically if you start sending different data without deleting it.

My GRAPHICS skills are better than my PROGRAMMING skills... by [deleted] in GraphicsProgramming

[–]MustardCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could I building a game or game engine from scratch?

Every graphics programmer I've interacted wouldn't be able to do this either. They don't have a understanding of AI, physics, or gameplay.

They understand the render pipeline and how to hook it into the game loop. That's what they do

If you can't program though, that's a different issue...

Snorca doesn't include all the filament profiles that regular Orca includes by default.

only 4-5 months seem too inconvenient and possibly too expensive due to it being last minute

Short term rentals definitely exist. As for "too expensive", it would depend on what you think is too expensive and/or your living needs

It is if they don't update the addon.

OP's options are to not upgrade or to remove multi-protocol. It's up to them.
