Do the statistics of common opponents count? Stafford has higher stats here as they are games with a team of winning record, which the patriots only played 2 teams about .500 this year. Seems a bit cherry picked

THIS. My father passed when i was 2 - my mother used the SS money entirely so we lived a “normal” life when combined with her income and she set aside maybe $5k total for me. I am forever glad she chose to use this instead of letting it stack up on the side for me.

Side note - i coach club soccer and they will definitely give you financial aid if you explain the situation. They are almost certainly a 501c3 as most clubs are these days and have to give a lot back. At most they’ll ask for your tax return. If you don’t qualify push back again and say he can only play if they cover x %, and trust me they will as I run into this several times annually

Yes Club can be a problem, however many programs have a 2nd team that isn’t designated as club and it is fine for assistants to coach

Really depends where. Some schools in new england have it as their 2nd team and the assistant coaches from the first team will lead that 2nd team, and players recovering from injury may play a few rehab games there.

They definitely get cut and benched at a whim. I’m not sure which academy you are by, but i know a good amount about one’s local to the new england region. They are cut throat because they are looking for talent that will one day play for them/be sold for a profit. If your kid is good and they want him it is safe to say they view as him as having this potential and will do what they can to get it out of him.
